I have already finished this drama 2 month ago, but hestitated to make a full review. Is it worth to make a review of this drama? Admit, I was very dissapointed by what they have presence. . I have to get remind myself if this is the same writers who penned The Princess Man? It seems a superficial version of sageuk politic intrigue in modern day of The Princess Man. I was Looking for substance and subtlety, But as episode times goes, the show keep hitting me I'm just here for suspense that's going nowhere, presenting alot of fluffy which is nothing to do with the actual plot, alot of potential intriguing plot development that get scrapped (Like Human Shin past development), or intriguing narrative which get solved with lazy writing. At the end of the day, each character suffer from lack of proper development, including the lead Nam SHin III and Human Nam Shin.

The cast is good, But the character they potray is not good enough to warrant and show their acting skill more.

Rewatch Value? You should just rewatch for some good scene. There is quite some good moment which is for me quite touching. Especially a scene between a mother and both of her son

A really overall Good movie with passionate acting

It's been already two years ago I watched a movie in Theaters This movie is the first movie I watched after hiatus watching a movie in theaters. Very pleasing experience. I really didn't expected I would be understand it more than When I read the novel which very boring and totally confusing for me. The storeytelling is being present
Quite well by the director. They present it well about the world building which conveyed by the male lead who drive the story . Despite stereotype storyline, I enjoy it alot. Really passionate performances by the actor especially Ahn Hyo Seop. His character drive the story. Without his acting performances and his versatility, this movie won't be as enjoyable and work for me. I really appreciate his performances here which is one of his best. Yet. Imo

I'm glad I don't listen to the haters. This is peak cinema based how much I enjoy the acting. The plot want to showing it too much at times just for 2 hours. The character other than dokja is just not being well present because this is too focus on the mc. For an ensemble cast this huge, it's pretty surprising. But nevertheless, i enjot it alot.

Bland narrative, bland directing, other than great fighting.scene, there is nothing this drama tried to offer. there is enough material the story will become engaging, but it's never materialized. Non of the character relationship has some short of memorable. All the actor here are underutilized. This is one of Gongjun worse performances I've seen. But i blame the writers for make his character insipid with no meaty material to work with. Talking about Sumuyu principal colluded with assasin world on paper is interesting enough but never been challenged and has great consequences to him that make me care about the conflict. . This drama is just has so many character with little substance. At times this drama is just too obviously preachy.

Embrace the complexity

It seems almost anyone on mdl doesn't like it. It's a mainstream drama. But it's just too heavy to be a mainstream drama. It has too much politics, which for me is engaging because not only protagonist, but each supporting who contribute to the narrative getting flash out. They look like human being who is blind by power and start panic wanting to keep their throne which start shaking, instead of mere plot device for our hero to shine. They are still useful to the plot in later episode to make thing interesting.

The baddy is blind by desire cover up their scheme, Also the tragedy that happpened 10 years ago. It's not The scheming that is interesting, it's how each of them react. Even the victim like " fake diziyuan", the writers not throw her under the bus and flash out her feeling after being used by Anle for her freedom.

I enjoy it alot. The plot is cohesive. I have no idea where mess up comes from? Might be we have different taste not because this drama is bad. Or novel reader just want to copy paste everything from the novel. It has it's flaws like many convenient plot and gimmick. But it's embrace human emotion and it's complexity yet it's never too convoluted or confusing.

Another Jang Dong Yoon's fav drama of mine beside Just Dance. I'm so glad he choose this kind of drama as his debut on small screen. It's rare opportunity for an actor to have a good drama on their debut and moreover, become one of the leads.

This drama remind me of Class of Lies, setting in school with adding politics and melodrama element to add spice. I'm watching it the second time after I finished it, and still feels compelling and I got a new perspective, because the main addiction of this drama is the way the story told, the environment, and each character perspective, and Some of good performances. After I finished it, I think alot of it and the question of "what could have been" always ring in my mind. ANd that's an achievement.

This movie is Highly addictive, and after the second act, you can't even look away and find out how the movie unfold. I haven't watched the first 2 installment off Tazza. But watching the 3rd one makes me eager to watch it's predecessor. The movie acted by good ensemble cast with Park Jung Min as star among the young cast. The movie got darker and darker, and get too violent for my taste as the stories progress with so many backstabbing, revenge and betrayal , but you just can't look away. Very entertaining movie. But don't expect a nice character in here, because you will hardly find one.

Memorable, Unforgettable, with excellent cast and character carrying the whole drama. Finally after so many years writing a show with lack of heart despite good structural like Shark and Fermentation Family, This drama become a turning point to this duo for me. This drama is definitely one of those case where the good guy and the bad guy get equally flash out, totally add realism with depict various character and people reacting to certain tragedy which involved various characteristics of human being. each scene is so delicious to watch. Shot out to Kim Ji Woo to use a 16 episode fully well without a break and unnecesary scene and get to the point of narrative straight away without giving us useless or gimmick scene to please viewers. It might be not one of their best drama, Because the resolution is abit cotton candy. But nevertheless, will stay in my heart for a long along time. A Great drama won't work without excelent cast, and I'm still believe in that, Oh Man Seok, Park Hee Soon, Choi Ye Jong and Choo Ja Hyun give one of their best performances to make this drama become unforgettable for me.
One of the best of this year and I'm not exagerate.

Eventually the first 4 episode start with a bang, such an awsome first episode to set up the story further. The drama start with the present days, showing everyone fate before we get to know the past why they end up that way in the present days. The following episode, the drama suffer from too much PPL and fan service, make it look like a different show compare to what they have showed in the those first 4 awsome episode. Well after all, this drama has sold to china so they had to make alot of fan service, make the main narrative suffer from that and end up frustated alot of viewers. but the show indeed still have charm left that make me continue watching. THe character of Shin Jon Young given enough of depth it makes his choice much more sense. The acting oare overall well done, so it's hard to say Kim Woo Bin carrying this drama alone.  Well It's a very slow pace as somehow the show suffer on doesn't know to expand the storyline without some stereotype storyline. But thanks to this show. I got of what I got, the best performances from Kim Woo Bin (I think) , and Park Hyun Suk become my new Fav PD-NIM.

It's trying to depict many issue in High School environment, from bully, unfair treatment of student based on their social standing, the stress of to get the best score, etc, but they are just fail miserably. There is the tenstion for the sake of tension, at times preachy, but it's just a bunch collection of problem throw it you down of your own throat. The writers certainly doesn't has talent to match between romance, bromance and realistic conflict they arise.

But the good news is, This cast is the best casting compare to among other previous cast in school series in recent memory (well, compare to School 2013 and Schcool 2015). School 2013 and School 2015 has the same fail attempt to depict teenage environment in high school. But this School series has one advantage, is the cast and make the show become bearable.

ENjoy it because the romance lead journey.

I really love it, Mainly for the main leads romance and the problem surrounding them. I really though it will be just another shallow gender reversal who want to talk deep but end up being pretender. But There are so many RAW moment that I love, mainly the romance of the main leads and the circumstance which connecting them. Two character opposite personality who seems like strong female lead with her status and male lead who seems a very nice person, But actually they are just a flawed human being which face ups and down about their relationship due to their background and personality different. I enjoy it alot. I laughed and cryed along with them. . They growth and learn as the show progress and the writers given their story so much depth which I enjoy alot. I don't enjoy much about the corporate stuff but I know it need to be brought up to make some conflict to our leads . There is also some flaws in this drama which I'm not enjoying which is the villain arc (though the actor Shawn Zhang is doing a great job) which for me unreasonable and some fluff subplot 2nd lead and other character supporting character relationship which take too much screen time and honestly I don't enjoy them much . But I think they need to shoot them because they need other character surrounding our leads.

I will definitely will rewatch it mostly just for the leads.

I Watched for Ahn Hyo Seop, And I find myself enjoy the drama, despite my allergic to Medical Drama. Yo In Shik is doing a good work here everything in the operation table feels real that at times I can't stomach the scene. Ass usual this writers has a skill and tendency with dramatic setup. That I sometimes giggles because at times it's abit OTT.. But she success to bring out the best in Lee Sung Kyung and AHn Hyo Seop Performances. their background and arc here is really engaging, I wish this drama emphasis more about their story and arc. and less about politic. Back then, I was skeptical about Yo In Shik casting choice. WHo knows Both of these combo hit the jackpot, that I find both of them have so much potential, both of these actor already look passionate in acting here. Give so much nuance and passion to character, that I enjoying this drama thanks to them.

Contrary to so many people who want season 3. If you need season 3, then it's more like fan service to satisfy the fans. I don't think this drama need for that. The entire story basically Kim Sabu is like God. It's like the show credit all the good think in him, and everyone around him is flaws and all. Like basically that's the entire story of this drama is all about his greatness and how it affect people around him and look out of him heck even the villain. And This hospital is the ideal dream about what is the hospital should be, to a pure form .The drama for me is already complete and there is no need to explore more.

complete darkness

this is depiction of how jail time, no matter how short or long, will left a negative impact on pure souls. Eiher you wrongly accused or you are just accidentally kill a person without actually mean it, that experience will left a trauma and you might be never recover. This depiction is more about contrast to the police, they want the obvious suspect become a real suspect, because they think this is savest bet to level up. but they never know what they done to a suspect is evil and cruel.

either he is really a real culprit or innocent person, his view to the world during those experiience is total darkness and feels helpless.
this depiction is wonderfully convey in this little drama.

and this is after a very long time one of the best Kim Soo Hyun performances. which unfortunately not even given a nomination in baeksang. he should be doing this kind of performances more often.

I might be the Only one who are so dissapointing with this drama. I watch it because of My Fav. PD Nim direct this drama, wish my luck for a good script coming on my way. THis drama has good potential setting, About past trauma, deal with moral behind earthquake event from different point of view. The setting from initial episode has been promising, but the problem has already there, which it seems the writers doesn't know how to develop interesting premise become more deep. Can you imagine if the second lead get more proper develop? We might end up start to get interest to their side and not only understand, but feel about their point of view too.

It lacks something than it will be better if the writers want to convey something more than what it seems.

After all I come to think that's the power of good PD. Elevated the script, and alot of performances and scene really well executed . SO I can see why people rate it high.  I give this drama a good  rating for those two alone.

GOOD DIRECTOR AND GOOD PERFORMANCES MAKE THE DRAMA WATCHABLE

EDIT 16 JAN 26 : I already watching the fully. This drama is saved by good directing and and some good performances from the actor.
This drama is too centered around romances and multiples misunderstanding about female lead identity so they abandoned some plot point that more interesting. Political family conflict they arise might be more interesting and engaging if handled by more competent writing, but here we are. Even enemy to lovers trope because different realms handled haphazardly with chip tricks. While some character has layer (mostly thanks the actor interpreting the roles whith more depth), there is nothing special in the writing. I enjoyed it due to performances and how the director told the story. It's obvious they run out of budget at the third of the drama, but it's always solid in terms of acting and how the director handled the scene and performances

Overall despite trust conflict they arise in romances departement, it's just has this undercurrent romances touched from the director like passionated eyes, intimacy, and romance scene handled just give warm and passionated feeling between the character, despite many misunderstanding conflict, I still swepted by the romances.
