Just started watching this series today. 4 episodes in and I am captured. Damn you GMMTV!! So good to see Neo again after a while (by the way, I ship him super hard with Ohm - sorry BadBuddies) and WHO KNEW Khao had all that darkness in him. Let's not even mention First and his mesmerising wet eyes. F$%!! There goes my Fridays.
That accidental kiss killed this for me. I think maybe BL in general is just stale and tired. Really, bounced…
There is also such as thing as BL fatigue where we've been watching series after series and our spirits are exhausted. I can totally relate to that and I encourage a break from BL from time to time and seeing if it lightens our loads. It definitely worked for me.
I thought I wasnt going to watch this, but YouTube recommendation + FMVs will not let me rest!!! Its absolutely everywhere!! Tiktok, even IG reels! Damn!!
Looking back, it just seems the story is about Nine's love for Daoneua which has lasted for rhe longest time. It was tested and found enduring. That is a powerful message in the end and im here for it.
I really dig how the series is concentrated on 3 characters, for now. Out of them, Wang has the most layers which…
I'm thinking COVID made storytellers and producers hella creative. How to tell a powerful story with minimal crew and cast to avoid infections. Right??
Several productions houses tried this, think of On Cloud Nine, currently running, THIS production here and In a Relationship (which was a Gameboys rip off) and Love with Benefits (which was less successful).
In each production, you will have noticed that the cast doesnt come into contact or if they do, its just two or three at a time. When there is a group, there is physical distance between them. Very interesting to observe.
I am rooting for the two underdogs. This show was super cruel to Eun Chan and Chan Kyu. They didnt deserve the treatment in the last episode. They could have allowed them to keep their dignity. It was all the way wrong.
