Likewise, I’m not trying to change your mind—and I think everyone is biased whether they know it or not, not that it’s a bad thing it’s literally someone’s preference— I replied only because I was curious on how I wouldn’t be qualified to call it boring after 5 hours of watch time. It’s good that you liked the drama, it just wasn’t my cup of tea. Like I said, I believe calling it boring is sufficient enough. Remember I left a casual comment on the drama, I didn’t post it as a review. It’s in the comments for a reason. Just because I called it boring, doesn’t mean I think everyone else in the world will too. 5 episodes is equivalent to 5 hours; and more than enough to determine if something was boring to you or not. Again, if you were looking for reviews— read the reviews section. People leave short and simple thoughts in the comments section. Deatiled, in-depth reasoning on their thoughts/ratings are meant to be found in the reviews not comments.

Concerning Lovely Runner reviews, the show has high ratings everywhere— not just here on MDL. I’ve never seen a profile give exclusively 10 or 1. The point still stands that if it was truly one of the worst written shows, it would still have a lower overall rating universally across all review sites. The fact that it has a 9.0 shows overwhelmingly more people enjoyed it than hated it though

Is 5 episodes insignificant to you? Each episode is already roughly an hour long. Should I waste 11 more hours of my life on something I don’t like? Seems like I’d just suffer as a result of sunk cost. Exactly how many hours must someone watch a drama until they’re allowed to call it boring? I can see the appeal for some people who might like these sort of stories, but as someone that just watched because the romance tag, it’s just not worth watching. At a certain point when you’re bored watching a drama, you just have to turn it off and move on.

Even if what you argue was true, the overall rating of supposedly “one of the worst written” KDrama wouldn’t have a 9.0; it would be much lower. Even accounting for those people too afraid to give anything lower than a 7/10. If it was as bad as some people say it was, it would have a MUCH lower score.

I really don’t see the purpose of arguing over the drama. It’s been a while since I watched it, but I remembered I enjoyed it. There’s people chronically online in the comments for that drama just hating on anyone who enjoyed it. It’s ridiculous.

If I wanted to leave my detailed thoughts on the drama, I would’ve left a review—not a comment. “boring” is more than sufficient to express my overall thoughts on the drama. I suggest not confusing comments people leave with reviews.

How is saying it’s boring ridiculous? You’re literally just watching someone living in poverty. The romance is pretty mild and boring after they get together. It’s not ridiculous to expect to be entertained regardless of the drama genre.

Lovely Runner has a 9.0 overall rating, not sure why it has so many haters. There are FAR worse dramas out there but a subset of people are fixated at hating on Lovely Runner 💀.

edit: It’s just taste at the end of the day. I also can’t take someone who liked Today’s Webtoons and Twenty Five 21 that seriously either

I feel afraid to say it because there’s so many videos of people crying to this drama, but it was incredibly boring to me. I got through 5 episodes before calling it quits. The first few were good but it got boring quick.
