Oh no, not at all! Reply 1997 was filled with lil' things from the past, things that many ppl can feel nostalgic about, and it had multiple love lines. Whereas here, we can catch a glimpse of a possible love but it seems that the producers said the viewers expressed opinion that a love relationship is not needed... (seems a bit strange, since it's a school related drama and, IMO, love and crushes are pretty usual during schooldays :D). School 2013 addresses exam pressure and bullying, as well.

I wish Heung Soo had more lines, this whole "silent rough guy" thing is starting to get on my nerves..
