Atp idk who will be the endgame of this show. There wasn't anyone I was actually shipping. I just feel that there won't be any long-term couple from this show even if at the end, the participants choose each other.
I always find it interesting to see the different possibilities between couples and the way they act among different people. Some behaviours in dating shows sometimes don't sit right with me but at the same time I get that humans are so complex... so I also just feel that everything is so uncertain and unpredictable.
Feelings or attraction alone are fleeting. I'd appreciate it if all the participants can have better or more meaningful conversations to really get to know the other person better. Good communication is really crucial in relationships, not just their actions.
Feelings are one thing but a good conversation and solid understanding of another person is another vital point. Additionally, sincerity of one's actions and words is also something I wish all participants can display. Cuz even if one wants to be honest and true to oneself, I'd love if he and she can be sincere throughout the show as best as they can.
Overall, I hope that through this show, all the participants can properly sort out their thoughts and feelings, reflect on them and grow from this experience.
My thoughts on next week's date pairings and this show so far:
1. CHxSS - actually seen quite a number of ppl shipping these two (based on previews of teasers) even though the interactions between them haven't been much. I personally feel that SS could potentially be a decent match with CH as I feel SS could bring her bright/bubbly personality into CH's life. CH would also give her his attention when he is with her and be a good listener.
Still, I find it quite surprising when he mentioned his personality is similar to that of YW (independent, not liking to show much weakness/emotions)
2. YHxYW - actually their small age difference might be what can connect them, both being on the older side. apparently YW prefers to be with ppl who are fun? So maybe YH can be a fit for him. Though when I first started watching this show, I initially felt CA and YW were quite compatible and I thought they would be a pair who could mutually rely on the other having went through a fair share of hardships. I thought CA's warm personality could be a balm to YW and I thought YW's thoughtful nature could be a comfort to CA but now it seems not so
3. CAxJH - for some reason even before ppl talked about their spoilers or rumors, I already had this gut feel that they would be a very unique and unexpected combination together from the start. I was always curious how both of them would be like if they interacted with each other and so I'm quite interested to see what kind of conversations they both would have. JH actually surprised me by how mature and careful he is. His personality can be fitting for CA imo, if they ever date, I'm sure he'll take good care of her.
4. JWxJS - JS always still had some curiosity towards JW. JW mentioned she likes a guy who is cute and is good at his work. I think JS could fit into that category actually. Tho he's more on the sweet side. Also, JW has always wanted brotherly affection from YJ and she never has and JS is a good example of that lol. Perhaps he can give her the affection and care she needs since he takes good care of ppl and is pretty considerate to others
5. JYxYJ - YJ had his initial concerns of dating an older woman and so far he seems to have made an exception for YH. From the get-go, the two seemed to have gone pretty smoothly but I wonder if his date with JY would shake things up. JY herself is quite bright and cheerful so who knows if JY could be his type too?
Overall, I find it fascinating that there is a range of possibilities between different people. It's interesting seeing how these participants interact with one another, the things they say, the things they really feel deep down and the way they act. Honestly everyone is all flawed in their own ways. There are strengths, there are weaknesses. Sometimes we truly don't know what a person is thinking or why he or she acts in a certain way. Similarly, aren't we all like that in real life? Who are we to judge these individuals merely from this show alone? We don't know them personally. So I won't say there are outright red or green flags, really. Humans are such complex creatures so it's all about a lifetime of living and learning
Idk if it's just me but I enjoy watching the opening narration and song best. Sang Heon's accent is just *chefs kiss* and I love how he just sounds so sincere. He's also so funny and cute to watch🤣 The way he looks at Maya tho😍 I'm actually enjoying this show so far. The english dialogues are hilarious
Such a shame that yonsei uni didn't win but still admire their grit and strength till the very end. Rooted for them from the start! Dex was team yonsei too lol. They're the winners in my and (viewers) hearts. Good job guys!😭🤗🏅🥈💙

Agree with you. I'm learning that there's no outright red flag or green flag all the time. Humans are really flawed ppl in their own ways. While I can't relate to what he does, I def don't think he deserves to be hated upon
