I think it’s different with fairy and devil ending. Dong fang returns and alive but here is every year he will come back to see her only. Means not alive.

I felt the same way as you. So boring at the beginning but I pushed myself to continue watch and skip most of them. Second half and til the end really getting better. You should try when you have time. But now so many good drama airing. I am so occupied don’t know which one to watch first hahahhaa
