A stray thought I just had - I feel like most people who love this series love it in spite of its technical flaws. I on the other hand, the more I rewatch it, the more I fall in love with its imperfections. they make it more endearing and old school

Can someone help me please, what's the better fan experience overall - a fancon or a fanmeet? I see JossGawin have many events scheduled and I want attend but idk which one to choose. I don't mind traveling a longer distance for a better event. has anyone here been to one of those and what's the difference anyway between fancon, fanmeet and fanday?

I think the difference is expectations and personal preferences. If one goes into it expecting a technical marvel - there will be disappointment. it's a lower budget show with a camp flair. and perhaps this was pushed by lower budget but the campy traits look like deliberate choices to me - from dramatics, theatrical vibe, acting style etc, everything is the way it is on purpose. I get not everyone will be into it. for me though, it worked like a charm. it gave me something most high budget high polish bls failed to give, and I'll treasure it because of that forever

I'm so addicted to this couple I'm considering watching Only Friends for them even tho I I'm not really into the concept. Do I need to watch the first season?

I had almost given up on bl genre because lately nothing was hitting for me, and I felt even tho budget and production quality was rising overall, the heart's nowhere to be found

Then, instead of only looking at 8+ rating bracket, I decided to go through 7+ too, and thank heavens I did or else this gem would've escaped me. It gives the opposite - lower budget and unpolished production and everything I ever wanted when it comes to chemistry, vibes and romance. It's as if the purpose of the show was to make a cynic's heart beat again. And on me it worked so good, too good, so much that I've been floating above clouds for days after finishing it, something that hasn't happened to me with any other bl before, not even my all time faves. Gawin and Joss are a wonderful revelation. There's something about their intimacy that feels so raw and genuine and warm

Reason I'm making this post is for all who are hesitant about starting it as I was because of the rating and reviewbombing
