I did not like FL either. I think drama would have been better with no romance and a different FL actress.
The romance was uncomfortable. I think they were trying to do a semi-comedy, but it wasn't funny enough to be that. The humor didn't fit well. It just felt poorly balanced overall.

This is incredibly silly as so quite entertaining. I don't think there is another actor capable of looking as pathetic and hang-dog as Yoon Shi Yoon does. So it's well cast and might turn out to be a good drama. It's probably not for everyone, though.

This is hilarious (first episode) and quite unexpected. If you are from a repressive culture or family that is uncomfortable around talk about sex, you should skip it. I suspect it will get less funny as it goes for "deeper meaning" but my, how I enjoyed episode 1. 2 was ok too. Not dirty, just quite naughty. What fun!

I find it hard to believe that Vincenzo isn't on this list. It was one of the most insidiously toxic dramas I have ever watched, both in plot and characters.

Review Vincenzo
Thank you for this warning! I really hate violence, cruelty and revenge, so I'm glad I didn't even start. Personally,…
I liked him well enough in Sungkyunkwan Scandal too. But there's something of the cold fish/ lightweight to him that keeps me from really liking him. Maybe he will convert me with whatever he does next, but overall I feel like he is adequate but not more. Of course, his huge fan base means that we will continue to see a lot of him - room for growth. Let's see who he is in 5 or 10 years time.

I adore Lee Min Ki, but he's been getting real junk to act in lately. Here's hoping . . .

When did this happen? How did you find out?
They have almost run out of tropes. The only thing left I can think of is having someone hit by the traditional dump truck. I just hope it's one of the leads so we can all move on.
On My Wonderful Life Jan 2, 2021
At this point (the relapse) I am ready for Si Kyung to get hit by the classic K-drama dump truck, die, and put us all out of our misery.

When did this happen? How did you find out?
I'm starting to think it will never end.

I"m another person who didn't expect much from this, but it's delightful. Good characters, silly plot, acting is well done. Nice pacing. Hope it lasts.

I'm really not a big Joo Won fan, and after most of Ep. 1 I was ready to pack it it - I don't really want to watch 16+ hours of Joo Won being emotionless. But the last few minutes suggested that there might be more here - I liked the beginning, and the ending of the episode convinced me to try a little more of it. We'll see how it goes. So far, it's been a thin year, with too much time at home with social distancing and not much to watch!

Yeah I think you just gotta watch this series while keeping in mind that they mostly use the Japanese RolePlaying…
Good point about the RPG style. It's so all over the time map that there's no point trying to note inconsistencies. I had friends who released a recording of the 13th century Carmina Burana on Telefunken, and the Japanese release had a picture of a well known painting of Hayden conducting an orchestra. I was bewildered and asked the friend why on Earth was that photo used. He smiled and said "Western music." Well, what are a few centuries among friends!

I was amused to see the 18th century hair styles in episode 3. Well, Western, right? King Louis XIV in the Crusades.…
Oops, Episode 2. Getting ahead of myself. There seem to me a lit of Midnight Diner or similar shows from almost every country - my personal favorite is Late Night Restaurant (2015), Korean. This is a lot sillier, but fun.
On The World of the Married Apr 24, 2020
This has a great cast, the acting is superb, the writing is top-notch. It should be a must-watch, but it's really a revenge drama. At the 6th episode, there is no one I like, so why would I invite these people into my home? Dropping it, I don't really need this unpleasantness in my life.

Someone help me out here: what is the music at the end of Episode 5, when the bar owner and her 2 girls are walking into the market? I recognize it but just can't place it. This is going to keep me awake tonight! Help!
On Eccentric! Chef Moon Apr 12, 2020
I"m disappointed here. Most dramas that include Chef or the like in the title have a lot of stuff about food, and this doesn't . He could be anything. but being a chef is totally incidental to the story. I had my heart set on another great food drama. :(
