For the record, I based my review mostly on AePete because they're the main couple, and the show spends most of it building their relationship.

With that being said, Ae is probably my favorite character in a BL (don't listen to me; I have more favorite characters than there are babies in China) but seriously: he's so open and honest and he doesn't give a damn what others say about him. That kind of strong character is important for someone like Pete, who's very docile and reclusive. I don't believe in the saying "opposites attract," but this is a case of: my weakness is their strength, and they grow from it. It's honestly a wonderful, heart-felt story all together.

And the acting? THE ACTING. In case you didn't know, Saint (Pete) is ANYTHING but shy in real life (he's actually mischievous and playful) with Perth (Ae) being the shy one of the two, and I think that makes this drama that much more amazing because you would NEVER guess that with how great their acting is. if you watch this show because of nothing else, watch it for AePete.

TinCan. Tin-freaking-Can. I know they have their own story in the book (and it's has a better ending) and (now) I know they're having a second season, but, before, when I watched this, I had NO idea I would love them as much as I did. Honestly. Like Can, Tin pissed me off SO BADLY that I cheered when Can hit him. BOTH TIMES. I was like, "Hit him again." But then, also like Can, I was won over slowly, and my eyes opened to what Tin was a person, and I hate him for making me love him if you wanna know the truth.

The acting for these two is just as impressive as Perth and Saint, honestly. Mean (Tin) has a good talent for showing emotions on his face, and it hurts THAT MUCH MORE. And Plan (Can)--I mean, I've loved Can since his Make It Right days, so I'm a bit biased, but he's also a great actor.

Because it needs to be said even though their storyline isn't as intertwined: I don't like Kengkla and Techno. I love Techno as a character (I literally adore his ditzy, air-headed personality), but I think he deserves better than Kengkla. Kengkla was manipulative, forceful, and just downright NOT a good person, and it actually made me feel bad for the naive Techno. I know they have their own story (and the book is translated into English, fun fact), but I can't get past the rape, and make NO mistake: it was rape. And it's downright distasteful, especially when you have Tar's story in here revolving around why rape is TRAUMATIZING.

Tar (Earth, whom I love as na actor as well) and Tum's story wasn't as... filled out as I had hoped, so I can't say too much about them. I originally liked that the story was trying to touch on something as important and TRAUMATIZING as rape since I have watched BLs where people just look RIGHT PAST IT like it's nothing, but I felt like they could've expanded it more and given Tar more time throughout the story to grow (which I understand the reason he didn't is because the book for TumTar isn't out yet to my knowledge, but still). With the stupid KengklaTechno storyline, however, Tar's story seemed washed out.

This one was a cute show, for sure~ I love their chemistry in Goblin, so I was super excited to start this, and I was even more excited when I found out the characters had more to them than just basic, flat personalities. The struggles they go through are very realistic, especially when it comes to Korean actors/actresses, and it's mildly annoying (as an American who thinks actors/actresses should be treated as people first, and idols second), but I love it all the same. They touch some sensitive issues lightly, but in a way that shows how serious they are. I feel like it's a nice, soft comment on something that should be addressed. (Hope that makes sense).

At any rate, I definitely recommend this show. It's cute with a touch of lawyer-ness~

LOVE IT. I love a strong female lead, and I love this.

I'm not a big fan of love triangles, so I was worried, but there was no need to worry AT ALL. The way the main character changes her affection from one guy to the next is so natural, and it makes so much sense. She's not all that hesitant about it either, just mostly confused at first, which I think is totally accurate.

Plus, I love the main actor! I had never heard of him before, but the two have great chemistry~ I spent a good bit of this giggling and squealing. There were parts where I cried too, but they were all worth it to get that amazing ending~

I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea, but, honestly, if you love romance that stands above all WITHOUT drama, this is the one for you.

Actually, despite how much I watch dramas, I don't really LIKE too much drama, and, usually, Chinese dramas have too much for me. They tend to drag, taking ten episodes to solve a problem that should take, like, half an episode. This one, however, skips it ALL. I mean it. The problems this couple have are ALL solved because they trust and communicate with each other. It's WONDERFUL. Ten outta ten.

I love me a feel-good drama that I can watch for romance and warm-fuzzy feelings, and this one is mine~

Now, there are problems involving side characters and their perceptions of the main characters, not to mention some insecurity problems amongst friends, but it's very REAL and it MAKES SENSE, and I feel like that's so hard to find some times.

I watched this for PeteKao moments because I thought there would be more at first (which I was horrendously wrong, my dudes), and I gotta say: it's kind of a mess, isn't it? There's so many storylines going on that I don't care about, and Sandee and Thada need to just... talk to each other? Like, why were they like that? I wanted to pull my hair out, tbh. If they would've been honest from the beginning, taking out Pete and Kao, and talked like adults, most of their issues near the end wouldn't have happened at ALL.

Also, yet ANOTHER jealous girl being the villain. Someone spare me.

Let me start this off by saying that I DO like this show. It's a good LGBT+ show for China, and I love the acting, but, of course, I have a few problems with it.

The main one, without spoiling too much, is that the consent is a bit sketchy, and it took me a minute to figure out whether both of them were really into this. After I read the book, I understood the characters more, but I think shows should be able to stand on their own without prior knowledge, especially when the book is so hard to get ahold of~

I agree with their chemistry--it's no joke, honestly--but their emotions and feelings don't line up for the longest time in my opinion.

The ending is a bit of a letdown, but I primarily blame China for that because it's clear that this should have had another season (the book is SO LONG, my dudes), but still: cliffhangers are never fun~

Also, like, don't kidnap your crush and tie them to a bed, okay, kids? It's not okay. I promise. (And they just completely ignored that part, in both the books and the show, so there's that).

Let me start this out with saying that, as someone who's read the book, I actually don't think P'Godt's acting was that bad. I know this might get me killed, but I think that he did really well for a character like P'Pha. While I love P'Pha, the truth of the matter is that he's an awkward hot guy who has a lot of pressure on his shoulders just because he's attractive and everyone wants a piece of him, and I think P'Godt did really well at portraying that.

I also really love this version of 2 Moons because it's just so to the T of the book, you know? Every scene I wanted to see from the book is here, and that's another reason I like this so much. I also love the actors who play P'Kit and Ming~

Everyone's so cute, and I hate them tbh XD

Honestly, though? If you get past the awkward dialogue at points (they really talked like that in the novel too, by the way; it's not just the show. I think they're just awkward people in general lol) and a mild amount of cheese, which is always good for the soul, this show is wonderful~

Make no mistake: this is a good show. The way the relationship develops, the way they work over the homophobic parents; the whole ordeal is brilliant. The last episode, however, is where I draw the line.

In writing, we have a rule: don't kill off a character just to make your audience sad. This is because you betray a sort of "trust" between the writer and reader, and you can cause the reader to become angry if you don't do it right. The same rule goes for series and movies in my opinion. There are plenty of ways to kill a character and make it work, but I believe this story missed it. It feels like a cop-out in my opinion. Like, a doppelgänger? That's what we're going with? After everything they've been through, you're going to do that to them?

It was honestly a disappointment from what had been great screen writing so far and a heart-warming story.

I'll rewatch this series, make no mistake, because the acting is amazing, the chemistry is almost better, and I love the story aside from the ending, but I won't watch the last episode because that's just... insulting~

This has NO RIGHT to be SO GOOD OMG

Story: 10/10
The story is your basic romance flipped on it's head: we get to see why and how Tinn fell in love with Gun, as well as how he tries to pursue him with the help of the best wingman ever, Thiu (Tiw?). It's such a cute twist, explaining all of the things that TInn does without Gun knowing, often backfiring in Tinn's face, to be honest, and I love how whipped Tinn is. The way they present Gun going from hating Tinn to being okay with him to actually liking him is also super wholesome. Plus, the side couple romance? Ugh. I love literally everything about this. I just want to type "Go watch it NOW" without explaining anything, and it's killing me not to lmao

Acting/Casting: 10/10
This is Gemini and Fourth's first main roles, and one of their first major projects (with some debate over whether Moonlight Chicken was filmed before My School President, which I'm not getting into because I don't really care either way lol), and you can't tell AT ALL. Like. Gemini is somehow funny and serious at the same time, often switching seamlessly from his Student President air to the high school boy in love he is, and I just APPLAUD him! And Fourth! Fourth is just as good! The way I can tell what the character is going through based on his eyes!? Ugh. It reminded me of Perth (Ay in Love by Chance and Kanghan in Dangerous Love) and Nanon's (Pran in Bad Buddy) acting, and he's only, like, 18! I think he might have even been 17 at the time of recording, and I'm just impressed. His and Gemini's chemistry is also on-point. Honestly, they might scale right up to some of my top Thai actors.

Music: 10/10
I feel like I just keep putting 10/10 on everything, but I literally mean it! I added EVERY. SINGLE. SONG. to my playlist. ALL OF THEM. Gemini and Fourth's voices go together so well, and even some of the other characters voices just... *chef's kiss* Loved it~ Plus, the show has this cute little snippet sound tracks that are both funny and relevant to what's happening in the best way. Seriously, whoever was in charge of music with this series really outdid themselves.

Rewatch Value: 10/10
It's such a cute, heartwarming story that I can easily seeing it being a comfort show. I know for myself, personally, it's a show that I often fall asleep to or watch when I'm not feeling the best, because I literally get serotonin from how cute and funny it is.

Overall: 10/10
This rating really shouldn't surprise anyone because I don't think I've said a single negative thing about this show, but whatever. I know that, as a community, a lot of us are tired of school BLs, often in the mood for more mature storylines, but I think this was a school BL done right. The characters act and FEEL like high schoolers with their over-the-top dramatics and antics, and I think it's a great spin on a novel that wasn't nearly as cute or fluffy. Just.. go watch it. Right now lmao

So Good~

VERY SLIGHT SPOILERS

Basically: 10
If you're in the mood for a bit of a more serious high school romance focused more on healing and growing with cute banter and fun tension, then this is definitely right up your alley~ If you're looking for something more supernatural or paranormal, then this might not be the thing for you~ Also, if you're going through some things involving depression or grief, I'd wait a bit on this, because ooooooooh boy~

Story: 10
I went into this super excited for the premise, and, while it wasn't as supernatural as I originally expected, there were still a few plot twists that threw me for a LOOP, which was awesome lmao~ I wouldn't say it's groundbreaking, but the use of mental health and the importance of grief, not to mention how our idols aren't always what we think or should actually like, is such an interesting take in a show about high schoolers. There were points that literally had me hitting the pause button to take a moment, and it was because of both the need to squeal at the chemistry and the need to take a breath from all of the emotions. Props to the actors~

Acting/Cast: 10
They're so fucking good lmao I don't know how else to say it. Like, the main actors who play Ay and Akk are some of my favorites that have been cast as side characters for years, so for them to star in something together as the leads, you can bet I was going to support them all else be damned. But they were BRILLANT. The way Ay expressed his grief and Akk's expression as he worked through his feelings about literally everything? Ugh. 10/10

Music: 9
The OST is good, of course, and the background music is also perfectly place. I usually rank the music based on how often I wanna add all of the song to my playlist, and this one only had the opening (sang by the actor who played Ay) that really caught my attention, but that's a personal preference and not at all reflected in the way the background music literally made me anxious in the right spots and scream in happiness in others~

Rewatch Value: 10
This is a biased rating because I love the main couple and have already watched it a second time by the time I decided to start this review, so there's that lol I think is one of those dramas that you notice more the more times you watch it, so I definitely think the rewatch value is hiiiiiigh with this one~

Overall: 10
I thought this show was a pleasant surprise. There wasn't any toxic female characters, no toxic friends, the side couple was cute and showed more than just a handful of times, and there was even more on a friend that didn't necessarily have a romantic partner, so it felt very rounded out and involved. Plus, if nothing else, the CHEMISTRY between the ACTORS UGH. I loved it~

Every Thai BL watcher watches this at some point. It's like a base tier for BL.

To start, I'm a big fan of kisses. I think they are an important aspect to any story, especially romance, BUT I also think that, if you're not gonna have as many kisses, you need to prove a relationship with other things, and that can be hard. This show, however, does it perfectly. The hand holding and the eye contact is so UNREAL and precious, and I love Khun Phun and Khun Noh, okay? They're so precious~

I'd complain about the end if there wasn't a second season, but there is, so I'm okay~

Now, I know a lot of people have a problem with Captain's (Noh) acting, but I feel like it fits Noh perfectly. After all, in the book, Noh is a dramatic, over-the-top guy. He's kinda awkward in that growing-up-trying-to-find-myself way, and it works, so Captain's acting works for me. I actually didn't realize people had a problem with his acting in the first few episodes until I read some of the reviews on here because it just fit~

I know this isn't as popular as the others, but I actually think this is my favorite of the first three HIStory stories. Mainly because I felt the emotions of the characters was the most real (without them being a tad on the toxic side and lack of communication being the main problem, like with HIStory: Obsessed). Like, I love the way they set up Hero finding out Si Ren likes him, and I especially love the turmoil Lan Xi has the whole time of "I want him to love me, but I don't want him to fall in love with me in this body." Also, the actor playing Si Ren deserves more recognition because I periodically forgot that there wasn't actually a woman taking over his body. He did a brilliant job selling it~

It's honestly underrated in my opinion, and I would love a more detailed series about Si Ren's relationship with Hero~

Too Cute~

I will do a more in-depth review later, when I've finished the series, but I just wanted to come on here and make some general comments, especially the idea of following this peer mentor group throughout their years? Ugh, I love that shit; not gonna lie lmao Now, onto the couple ratings (as of now)

ArcArm: 9/10
AHHHHHHHHHH. Ahem. I mean, I love ForceBook, so I'm biased, but I actually really liked this couple~ I love the idiots who love their idiots, you know? Arc is so down bad for Arm, and Arm is too dumb to notice it, but Arc is also too dumb to actually show it, so only those who have dealt with Arc being blunt-to-the-point-that-it's-most-definitely-rude can see just how down bad he is for Arm, and that makes me happy~ I only knocked a star off of them because I really don't like that whole "I'm never gonna love again" rhetoric. It's... boring in my opinion lmao But their acting makes up for it, especially the comedic points, because I definitely cackled several times~ Also, seeing them throughout the others' arcs (heh) too? Good shit, cupcakes, good shit~

YothaGun: 8/10
PERTH! That's really all I should say right now, but I finished their arc (heh x2) just yesterday, so I'm gonna ramble some more for my sanity~ I have loved Perth's acting since Love by Chance, so I was super excited to see him in this, especially with a new character type! God, I love brooding men. It's honestly a weakness of mine~ And Santa was pretty cute in this one, and a much better actor than I anticipated (for some reason? I don't know why I doubted him lol). Together, they were cute, too! Their arc felt very long, though, which I know a lot of people don't agree with~ I just think the whole thing with Wa, and Yotha unsure of his feelings (when it was pretty obvious from the beginning how much he liked Gun) was dragged on a bit too much for my liking, but I'm a fan of communication, and this couple lacked it a bit much for me, which is why I knocked a couple points from them~

So, you might be wondering: well, MC, if you only liked both couples at an 8 or 9, why is the rating so high? Because my complaints are completely and totally pointless lmaoooo I loved the show as a whole so much that I don't really care about my gripes with these tropes, because the acting is good, the music cues where they do something to emphasize a facial expression or a smack or whatever is hilarious most of the time, and it's just such a feel-good, cute, cavity show that I'd be remiss not to give it a high rating (especially since myDramaList people tend to think that they're professional TV critics that get paid per insult)~

The last couple is the one I'm looking forward to the least, BUT I'm still excited about this show, so I don't care; I'm gonna devour it like my life depends on it~

Until the end~(:

I love all of the HIStory series, though the first three HIStory stories felt too short for my liking. Because of how short they are, there are some holes and certain things missing, but this one is cute. Basic? Yes, of course, but it's got a sweet charm to it, and I always love it when shows include a BL fan girl in there to help the characters realize their feelings for each other lol

Either way, I'll be the first to admit that this one lack as much romance as the others (since there's exactly one (1) kiss, and it's not exactly heart-warming), and the ending is a bit off-kilter, which is why I didn't go for an 8 overall. I think something starting off strong is important, but it should end strong too, don't you think?
