Wait correct me if I'm wrong but was this the show that Crystal Yuan and Cheng Yi were suppose to shoot as the L&R sequel that got cancelled due to the closing ceremony drama? Since back then the director said that it would be a role reversal of the original where Xuanji and Sifeng swap lives because from the trailer it looks like that the male is cold and the female is the demon, it seems very similar to L&R, I'm not hating at all and I am very excited to see Yang Zi and Cheng Yi in this drama, I just couldn't help but notice the similarities. Even if it's true or not, I hope it goes well even tho I am a big L&R fan.

The main point in the 9 lives is basically the title Love & Redemption, Xuanji has been a heartless person with no feelings in all her lives hence why she is the God of war, and through the 9 lives she is meant to redeem her self and learn to love with her heart, the first 9 lives were unsuccessful which resulted in her killing him with no remorse, it took 10 lifetimes but at the end Sifeng is the one person who could do that.
