I've looked it up (thanks to this drama).

More modern antidepressants SSRI/SNRI don't interact with alcohol. What happens a is that drowsiness, dizzies, nausea side effects are enhanced.

But there are also antidepressants that are dangerous with alcohol: tricyclic antidepressants, MAOIs, Bupropion. They can cause spikes in heart rate and blood pressure, increase the risk of seizures.

Besides that, alcohol itself is a depressant. So drinking alcohol when depressed is exactly the wrong thing to do, independent of any medication.

Well, the Cinderella trope seems to be popular in Asia right now. It will pass.

Besides that, the drama's title is "Queen of Divorce". Of course it will be focused on the FL. I am not sure why you would expect otherwise.

And there are plenty balanced or ML focused dramas still. Flex X Cop, A Killer Paradox, Death's Game, Dr. Slump, LTNS to name some recent ones.

I've watched the first three episodes of both. And I find Killer Paradox much better so far. It pulled me right in, while I have been struggling with suspension of disbelief in Shop for Killers.

They are talking about balls. Eyeballs and testicles sound alike in Korean: nun-al and bul-al

WTF. She has depression, takes antidepressants and gets regularly wasted. And she is supposedly a doctor, as is her drinking buddy.

Dear writers please consult a doctor or just google it FFS.

I am also occasionally annoyed by unrealistic or implausible behavior in dramas.

On the other side, dramas are not documentaries. There is no requirement for them to be realistic. And after all, romance novels with utterly unrealistic men and women have existed for hundreds of years. So it is not a new thing, neither does it affect the wast majority of women in some negative way.

And if fan girls want date Korean men and be eventually disappointed by the reality, so let them be. Live and let live.

Just showing them doing drugs (or other questionable things) frames them as humans who do drugs.

I agree . The side couples are a waste of screen time, have fast-forwarded through episode 5. I hope they refocus on the main couple as my interest is waning.

Cops being thugs with a badge is a typical kdrama trope. Alternatively they are also depicted as being bumbling idiots or utterly corrupted. Thinking about it, I can't remember watching a kdrama with competent cops.

So in the beginning Sam Dal won't use evidence provided by her assistants to fight back against her accuser.

But in the end she is perfectly fine with her assistants and friends securing new evidence and exposing her accuser...

Well, I guess the writer is at least consistent in the portrayal of Sam Dal as someone who lets others fight her battles for her.

It wasn't for her. It's some kind of financial scheme (possibly illegal?).

And I found the way he treated her and took her for granted just painful and so disrespectful.

Maybe She wanted to provoke a response by meeting other guy(s), get him jealous, make him recognize that she has other options. If that is the case, it certainly backfired (or maybe not ?).

Man-child becomes rich/successful with the sole aim to aggressively rub it in his ex's face for dumping him. But he's actually still in love with her and they get together again. Yikes.

I don't get the appeal of such stories. I find it rather pathetic and cringy.

Why shouldn't she be financially secure? She's got a job.

Imo the only challenging part is getting a restraining order. She needs to collect evidence, maybe record all interactions with him whenever possible?

Still, I am enjoying the drama so far, as I'm a sucker for the reincarnation/re-do trope. And the constraints they added here are interesting.

I enjoy it, the confusion. Let's see how deep the rabbit hole goes. :)
