Aaw lol that sucks, i think over time i've moved away slightly from K-pop to a more stronger liking for OST's. But I think I'll forever be an SS501 fan <3
Drama recommendations...i'm not very good at recommending anything, but i'm sort of on a sageuk roll, last thing i watched and balled my eyes over was The Painter of the Wind. It's a tragedy to the nth term, but throughout there's humour with the cross-dressing thing. And The Princess' Man, you'll find it hard not to fall in love with Park Si Hoo after watching. Hope that's somewhat of a help. And yep both the drama's are 'REALLY GOOD' lol XD

lol i think the only reason we refrain our tongues is 'cause MDL makes us then. I have to admit though, your Eng is really good.
Not watched shining inheritence yet, i think i'm sort of still in the crushing stage for Park Shin Yang, despite his age lol, so maybe i'll troll his MDL page and try watching something with him in it again.
Lucky! I have to wait at least another month for a break, and then i'm supposed to be studying as well. Just my sh*t luck :( Hehe KSH is just..brilliant as the king, he has that cocky air as the king in assembly and then when he gets the water works going, you feel like shedding some tears with him. I think you'll like HGI after a few more episodes, where she leaves the docile characteristics of the shaman and starts growing a stronger backbone. But I agree, I felt iffy about the older actors at first, just 'cause I was getting used to the younger ones.

lol my sis watches it too, she has an account on here as 'Ashiyaa' and two of my friends (also Bengali) are on here, 'Cheonsa' and 'Rubyy'. Actually a lot of my friends are into dramas, which is kind of cool :)
*sorry got the name of the musical artist wrong in the review, it's Jo Sung Mo.

lol i only watch a few at a time 'cause otherwise i know i will never get any uni work done...which still tends to be the case, but i feel less guilty lol.
OMG i just finished Painter of the Wind and the ending just made me bloody cry! (sorry for my foul language) but i never ever cry during dramas lol. it was just sooo freaking AWESOME. i would really recommend you try watching it again. I'm not sure what it is about the drama, but my other friend tried watching it and she's a fan of sageuks and she got bored of it. But honestly, it's AMAZING! definitely going on my fave's.

can't really say anything bad about MCW because i adore her but yh definitely, you can see that her acting has changed and improved by a huge margin since her early days. wow you've got a lot of drama's you're watching. i usually stick to one that's airing and one that's finished airing, so only two. But yesterday i realised Park JungMin's T-drama was out, so i couldn't help it XD
i've noticed there are quite a few Sageuks that are coming out, there's that Rooftop Prince, which is like a fusion, but i'm seriously reluctant 'cause i personally don't think Micky can act (i watched Sunky, and couldn't bare his stoic expression). There's also something called Faith, Lee Min Ho was being considered for it. there's even another drama called The King with Ha Ji Won. Historical drama's are really on the rise in terms of popularity. But I hope they don't become redundant with overexposure.

lol yh the girl who plays Heo Yeonu she plays the young version of Moon Geun Young in Painter of the Wind as well, got to admit she's in quite a few Sageuks. I love the story so far, but i've been waiting a week for the latest subs so my spazzing for the drama has kinda toned down now. I usually prefer to wait for the entire series to end so i can watch it in one go than suffer through the week for the next ep.

yep i'm watching Moon Embraces The Sun, it's reallllly good! I didn't expect Kim Soo Hyun to perform so well. I'm also watching Painter of the Wind, which is also good. It has a different take on the cross-dressing thing. Oh Moon Chae Won's in it XD her character is totally different to what I've seen her in so far, but I think I like Park Shin Yang the most in this drama. Are you watching anything else at the moment?

so i was watching painter of the wind, and i may have a slight mini crush on Park Shin Yang...hehe he is sooooo cool XD
really? no sageuks? i know i said it didn't really matter what genre i watched, which it probably still doesn't, but sageuks are AWESOME! lol no joke, i think i know what you mean about the whole 'weak women' thing, i think that goes with the context. But the women do show power just in a demure manner, actually i think it's more clever to be autonomous without being blatantly obvious, if you know what i mean. i'm currently watching moon embraces the sun, and it's really~ good! has the romance so you might like it.
i'm still not sure about wild romance, lee dong wook is cool but the lead actress, i'm kinda iffy about, i saw her in playful kiss and wasn't all that big a fan, and i'm not much of a SONE either. Hungry sounds good though, might give that try soon.

now that you mention it, i agree it is like city hunter, just set in Joseon era and yh i kinda agree on that, city hunter fell a little dry towards the end. it does have a j-drama style ominous ending, but i think it goes with the whole idea of Iljimae's sacrifice. lol, the movie isn't actually all that long, maybe just over an hour? definitely worth it though XD
anyone know where i can get links to watch this online in the u.k.? there don't seem to be any after ep 6, help!

nothing really beats princess' man, they had that drama sussed out really well. yey you're watching Iljimae XD and i totally agree on Si hoo's character, he does get that pitiful side lover aspect which makes him a lot like Shin Myun, but at least he's not as easily swayed. i think the drama makes up for it with Lee Junki, you should totally check out his movie the king and the clown, his perf is amazing. oh and i totally shipped iljimae and bong soon, (since you haven't finished it, i shall say no more :p)

i'm already on ep 11 and i'm obsessed with the drama XD you're definitely right about Kim Soo Hyun, he is pretty amazing. I love the way he has that cocky/blase attitude when he's in assembly, he really does give off the air of a king, and Han Ga In. I've never seen her in anything before, but she channels the character super well too. The only actor i'm still not as sure about is Jung Il Woo and i've seen him in other dramas before and I was pretty impressed, but i'm still not sure in this one. The other actors seem to stand out more to me for now.
