Yea, it's one of those dramas that get better with every new episode. The last few episodes were absolute goat, there are many cool characters, stories are gripping and quite relevant even irl today, music is catchy. I don't know what people aren't liking here. Personally, I can't give it a 9 because of some abruptly cut scenes in the earlier episodes due to the drama being cut to 34 episodes from full 40. But it's a solid 8.5 because of everything else.

someone else also revealed that there was actually a drama adaptation of one of 红九 novels which approached lusi to play the fl, the team was also willing to film in chengdu so that it’s more convenient for her but it was rejected by KU 😵💫

The pace and scheming in this one makes it really addictive. I can't stop watching! I'm so glad I started the year with this drama. I hope it sets the tone for the rest of my drama-watching year.

HMH is brilliant! A versatile actor. I've watched more of his series than any other actor. He keeps giving and never fails! Love his craft and discipline he gives to every character he plays. Love him
Wang Duo here kind of reminds me of Tian Jiarui in Fangs of Fortune in the way that he has a deep hatred / grudge with demons. They both have their own principles as well as their own duties that they want to fulfill, where they both are part of a bureau or smth where they want to get rid of demons for peace and prosperity (without knowing demons aren't so bad in general). Not to mention he plays his brother in that drama, and Neo Hou is the ML where he plays a great demon in both. Oh, and the fact that his sword can also detect demons (by lighting up / glowing) too. I can't wait to see (as it seems so, it is likely to happen) Bing Zhu's hatred with demons slowly fade as the drama goes on, and sees that demons aren't as bad as he thought they were.
To everyone who's been defending her by saying don't believe everything online, then why are you believing in everything she says online. Are you close to her? No. Then why are you believing in everything she says and not in the clear as daylight proof that's available. Just watch Rotten Mango's video in this case and everything will be clear for you. I stand with justice for Yu Menglong and am never gonna believe in those higher ups and nepo babies.
