Lately I'm fascinated by history of SK and I'm looking for new dramas. Tbh it started with spectacular Mr Sunshine, then 2017's Chicago Typewriter which won my heart immediately (when I saw Carpe Diem club I lost it ????) and now The Hymn of Death. I enjoyed drama very much even tho I didn't cry, non a single tear shred (believe me I'm a crybaby). Female lead was beautiful in every way. Not so sure about Lee Jong Suk. Sure he is great actor but something was missing for me. Although he totally got me in the scene when Woo Jin stands up to his father. This was really emotional when he raised his voice. And yes the last dance and the last scene... with that very loud sound of waves at the end just crushed my heart. I also really liked the quotes from Kim Woo Jin's poems at the end of each episode
I'm feeling such strong "Chicago Typewriter" vibes (well obviously 1920's) and when I saw Carpe Diem and when they were running from the police... dude I'm done and I know it gonna hit me hard
Great and lovable in Reply 1988 but he absolutely stole my heart in Chicago Typewriter. I couldn’t imagine better actor for Yoo Jin Oh role. Lots and lots of love ❤️
There are some dramas that you dearly love but only watch once because it’s too much to handle. And this is exactly that kind of drama. Plus applause for Seo In Guk and Jung So Min for THE BEST chemistry in history of k-dramas! ????????????????????????
I am writing this in the middle of the night for all those out there who are planning to watch this. You know…
You are 100% right. Mr Sunshine hits you HARD. And even harder when in the history of your country there was a time when people fought for the independence and struggle with the occupation. Drama just left me speechless. 10/10
Solid 8/10 as a movie. As an adaptation of manga and anime not so good. But it had potential for sure! Music and CGI were on point ???????? Actors good as well. I was especially fond of Ichigo and Byakuya. Maybe second part??
I'm loving it!!!! Everything is so breathtaking here! Costumes, scenography, editing, actors, music! <3 And omg I LOVE Dong Mae but I have feeling I will cry at the end
Finally completed. What happend to be incredible drama in first 4 episodes went downfall to be plain and difficult to watch. That's a shame. The only reason I finished it - Lee Joon Ki The strongest point of drama - ost, Higher Plane by Flowsik is LIT!!!
I'm really exited to see more episodes after watching first 2 episodes. Plot is interesting. As many noticed drama has strong Goblin vibe. Not sure about main actress. I saw many of you don't like Shin Se Kyung coz her poorly(?) acting skills. I've only watched one movie with her and pretty like her there. Well maybe she is little stiff but it doesn't bother me at this moment. And Kim Rae Won... damn! this man has got something that makes me fall for him everytime when he shows up (same in SBS's Doctors)
So good! Great action, great music, great actors and characters. But I have one tiny question: Ending, what the hell?! Don't get me wrong, it was super interesting but it leaves you with more unanswered questions. Over all IRIS is drama you must watch
So far I like it. I don't mind if drama is symilar to original Criminal Minds. I like NCI team, especially Lee Han and Nana. Joon Gi as always gives 100% in acting. But what draws me the most is OST. Damn! Flowsik and Kang Min Kyeong's "Higher Plane" is amazing.
