here's my two cents on who's who re: the dads. clues off the top of my head: - chin is either fourmod (the bananas and pineapples joke in ep1) or bua (the actor is also half-white i guess?) - tomo is either baabin (round-faced and short, has fourmod merch at his place of work) or chian (professional nail art master, has monchichi booth and fourmod merch at his place of work) - timethai is either fourmod (big ass green headphones graffiti in his living room) or baabin (because of his speech quirks in ep5) or chian (because everyone thinks so lol) - none of them have blue eyes, so likely we haven't seen adult bua
my guess is that baby is not actually baabua's kid, but chianmod's, and it's them who are broken up. then tomo is chian and chin is fourmod who lives abroad. presumably, at some point he became friends with bua (ep6 preview suggests that), who is now visiting him in the us. and timethai, who is baabin, was calling him (bua) in ep5. which means we have yet to see bua <3
yeah i'm not rly vibing with this, unfortunately. the characters feel like over-exaggerated and one-dimensional caricatures of their s1 selves. the only possible reason i can think of for this portrayal is because it's their children recounting the story
can someone explain post credit scene at the ending? what is pete's relation with niran's jade? did he foresee…
when giving baby niran the jade necklace, his grandad says sth along the lines of "one day you will understand its power" and i took it as the power of love. like its protection activates when it's given to you by someone who loves you and wants to protect you. grandad loved niran and so he gave niran the necklace to protect him. niran loves pete and so he passed the necklace onto him to protect him. that scene of him sitting looking at passed out drunk pete is basically him deciding "i guess he's that person for me". at least that's how i interpreted it
am i stupid? are the subs wrong? or did barthrak come back to visit st magdalene at some point ten years after running away? the priest says "i can't believe it's been almost twenty years" in the first scene of episode 1, and i keep seeing viewers refer to barthrak in the present as thirtysomethings. but there are almost thirty years between 1996 and 2025, which means barthrak are in their late forties. my math isn't mathing
reached zen and no longer care what to label this show with because it's plain as day that these two characters love each other deeply and that's all that matters to me. now i'm getting kind of sad that their next project is a&a because that one looks too goofy for my taste and also straight up mean to its audience. i'm sure plenty of ppl will enjoy it nevertheless but i personally would love to see sn in more heartfelt and serious projects like wu and hsf :(
