If you mean LLTG yes, this is one of the few that I can say successfully adapted the novel into a drama. The story closely follows the novel. Some scenes are shuffled in order or there are modifications made but the essence of the scene and story is not lost

Thank God! I'm not the only one rewatching. I never thought that I'll be that invested in a drama. I hope the casts knows that they have a lot of international fans aand that will double if Netflix also stream it too

Still remember that and felt really bad for ZLS. There's a lot of toxic shippers that are out of touch with reality and saying there's no chemistry and WL was just forced to accept this. I'm so happy that they're all eating their words now and the drama is very successful even internationally

Some people like a ' fan service' kind of drama with lot of sweet moments but may lack substance as a whole drama. A preference of each their own. LLTG is not like that, this has really good build up and foundation of story and not just locked in a certain category of genre.

Unfortunately most cdramas adapt great IP or have a lot following but when adapted to drama. There are literally few adaptations that are good or great. They always messed it up, they make some changes for the drama, most of the time not good resulting in changing the 'true ' novel story it was adapted from

I really hope WL, ZLS, the drama and director fei wins awards for this. It's very rare that a cdrama have it all. The acting might be great but the plot couldn't follow or the production is so so. But this drama have everything! Great acting, great cast, great storytelling, cinematography and camera works. This drama deserves to be recognized!
