It's to protect Ziyuan. If he marries ChengEn, then Ziyuan can continue living safely as Anle (we know she won't do that though). Not to mention, it'd be pretty suspicious to quickly change to marrying Anle after insisting to marry Ziyuan for 10 years

Keep watching. The male lead in here is on par with the male lead. It's hinted at many times, like during the trial, Wen Shuo basically says that he's mot comparable/incapable compared to Anle AND Han Ye, also, An Ning says "with his martial arts, it's impressive you held him back for a minute", implying his martials arts is also really good.

Han Ye's capabilities are much more subtle than male leads usually so keep watching!

I'd say to give it some time. Most people in the show at the moment is more concerned about finding Han Ye and An Le and they are more focused on surviving

They use like reflective surfaces during filming that makes them (esp their face) appear lighter if that's what your referring to

I'm pretty sure it's a safe assumption when the Marquis was found on the cliff, Yuanshu (or Yuanqin, can't remember which is her name ngl) also knew they were going there. Han Ye and Anle were nowhere to be found after so like... piece two and two together, they fell of the cliff.

Kidnapping would be out of the question since the key suspect is the Marquis and he, one, won't do it himself, two, won't stick around to be captured. Not to mention, he was charged with the disappearance of the two, don't you think he would leverage Han Ye and An Le for the charges to be dropped? That's probably the reasoning for Han Ye and An Le fell off the cliff.

To your third point, totally agree. It's honestly such a parallel that I think they were stabbed in the same place too

1- I'm going to guess that Luo Mingxi saying that everything was ready because the fall of Gu Yunnian was close/already determined and the key person in her family's massacre was taken care of. Not to mention, An Ning knew the truth and could clear the Di family name. If you take further notice, there was a near constant working towards revenge since ep 19, it just wasn't told to the audience directly/it was done in a subtle fashion.

2- Everyone is in a panic because the Crown Prince is seriously injured probably because while the Marquis won't talk, it's assumed that one would be injured falling off a cliff with steep hills and dangerous terrains.

3- Look at the cave closer when she first notices it (30:39). To the left of the golden leaf tree, there's another one more in the background. That's the tree they end up at. Then, look at the closer up of the cave (31:29). The back is clearly rocky and based on lighting, there's a roof over it. While there are definitely inconsistencies, as there is with all shows, this was not one.

Short Version: The time period is the night of the Lantern Festival, happening in late February in the Gregorian calendar. With China's geographic placement, it's near the equator, which makes seasons warmer than they are in say the United States. With the time period being just coming out of winter and the geographic placement of China, it is entirely possible to have cicadas chirping and trees flowering.

Long Version: Going back in the episodes, they are just coming out of winter and this is the new year. Since ChengEn's stab wound and Anle's leg wound are healed, there is likely at the very least a couple weeks time jump that wasn't told but was mentioned/hinted at. It was the lantern festival, which usually happens in February in the Gregorian calendar and as someone who understands geography and lived in China, the seasons are generally pretty warm during day and plants sprout earlier due to the warmer temperature. Circling back around though, since they are just coming out of winter, the nights would likely still be somewhat cold. With a deeper digging in geography, the trees in flower and cicada noises are not part of a strange season.

Exactly what I've been trying to tell people. Revenge can't be rushed and it isn't always to kill everyone who wronged them.

TBH, anyone with the capacity to analyze characters can tell her revenge was never to kill the emperor but instead to return justice to her family and the troops.

She is a cunning woman who plays her pieces correctly. I didn't give her too much credit, you're not giving her enough. Revenge is not always "kill, kill, kill, kill".

Her "vengeance" priorities was never "kill the emperor". It was to clear up her family's name and the name of the soldiers. If she goes ahead and kill the emperor, it literally just proves the Di family are traitors and staged a rebellion. Then, Anle/Ziyuan would be put to death and the Di family would truly die out.
