i already watch to eps 12, can someone explain to me why is everyone disappointed with the ending and the plot?…
The ending was left for the viewers to interpret, because it was an open ending. Half of the 3 CP’s characters were already dead, which were Qing Yu, Ms. Ye, Li Bo Ze, Qing Yi’s aide, and Qing Yi’s adoptive father.
In the end, Qing Yi’s fate was also left for us to decide — what kind of ending we want to believe he had.
For me personally, it was a sad ending. I believe Qing Yi died, and the drama made it quite clear from my perspective. But everyone can interpret it differently and decide what kind of ending they see for him.
I want to thank everyone I chatted with during and before the drama aired. It was a really pleasant experience, and I hope to meet you all again on other drama pages.

Chu Ran played such a complex character as Ren Su Su, whose entire journey was tangled between her love life and her sense of justice. Her mission was not only about herself but also involved her "Charlie's Angels" squad, the people she considered family.
At times, she was reckless, especially with her half-baked plans, but along the way she encountered a loyal, puppy-like lover — something that became her biggest unexpected mistake. Once Qing Yi gave his heart to her, he was willing to sacrifice everything because, for him, she was his entire world. But for Ren Su Su, although she was an orphan, she still had a reliable family to protect. She had responsibilities toward her "Charlie's Angels" family and their revenge.
Fate really had its own plans. She kept trying to avoid Qing Yi, yet the entire conflict ended up revolving around his family and their connections.
For the first half of the drama, I supported her choices because I understood her motivations. But after she had the child, the way she shifted the blame entirely onto Qing Yi felt unfair to me. Like… which divine pigeon was supposed to fly to the battlefield and whisper in his ear that his beloved was pregnant?
I even saw someone defending her stance by giving example that i would have using modern technology and everything to know about her well being, but this was a six-year war in the 90's . Even history books show that soldiers during wartime rarely received messages from their families, and when they did, communication was extremely difficult. Important military information had priority over personal news. So for me, that part of Ren Su Su's blame toward Qing Yi was where she was wrong.

I absolutely loved Chu Ran and ZLH’s acting. They took extremely complicated characters and portrayed them beautifully. I really hope they get more future projects together, whether historical or modern.*******NEVER REPUBLICAN*********
But after this republican drama trauma, I’m honestly scared of some upcoming projects I was once excited about. And for Chu Ran’s current filming drama, I can only pray that this director puts down his camera, goes to the mountains, and takes a long rest… because the way he captures emotional moments sometimes makes them feel like a soap opera.
I thought nothing could get worse than the *VOS* ending this year.
The *Overdo* ending traumatized me and made me appreciate GJM a little more. At least he gave us a glimpse that Ji Yi existed in an alternate universe with happy life and it was something that was shown and made sense.
I don't care which camp you are either OE or SE but this is the couple I wanted to have a happy end so bad two…
I don’t know if it’s just a coincidence, but Ren Su Su got a broken ending here, and Li Su Su in Till the End of the Moon had the same fate. It’s sad how both characters share the same name and both ended up with such painful endings.
