**EP 4** Hold on... why is Episode 4 moving this fast? 😠The whole ledger plot was wrapped up already? That caught me off guard. I honestly thought the ledger would become a major plot point and stay relevant for a while, but they resolved it almost immediately. Never mind then. Hopefully they're speeding through the setup so the bigger conflicts can get more screen time later.
The Crown Prince introducing himself was going fine... the first two lines were completely normal. Then he hit us with, **"Just a frail..."**
And Tian Yuan's side-eye right after that? I actually laughed. He looked so done.
GQ kicking that concubine was so satisfying to watch. 😂 She got humbled in the most public way possible.
Now the Sixth Prince... why are you trying so hard to act cool? His first two scenes made me cringe a little.
Her maternal family is so wholesome, though. I already like them.
And LOL... is the Sixth Prince trying to win her over by showering her with gifts? Sir, what exactly is the strategy here?
The Fifth Prince is confusing both his brother **and** me. Right now, I don't think he ever truly loved GQ. It feels more like he's using her death as a disguise to secure the throne. I really hope he doesn't end up betraying his brother because I am **not** emotionally prepared for another *POJ* ending.
This line from SXH really stood out to me:
> *"I'm not afraid of bad people. I'm especially good at fighting evil with evil. But when it comes to good people, I never quite know what to do."*
That one sentence says so much about what she's been through. She knows how to deal with cruelty because she's lived through it, but genuine kindness catches her off guard. I really hope they show more of her previous life because I want to see what shaped her into this person.
And finally... the Sixth Prince getting caught off guard was priceless. It's fun watching someone who's usually so composed lose his footing around the crown prince. ep3 made me hooked to this drama
LOL, this man is really head over heels for her already... he just refuses to admit it. 😂 Every time they meet, he acts like it's nothing, but his actions say otherwise.
And GQ now SXH? She knows her ex-husband way too well. She already knows he's no good, so none of his tricks are catching her off guard. That's the advantage of getting a second chance and i hope the face is different—she knows exactly what kind of person he's going to be.
She is not reborn. Her soul merges with Shen Zi he's soul. Thats why she is ruthless amd sceming while being kind…
Okay, I get it now. So it's not exactly that GQ became the princess. Their souls actually merged into one body. GQ is still the one in control—it's her consciousness that's making all the decisions. The princess's memories just overlap with hers, so she has access to everything SXH experienced without becoming a completely different person. That makes a lot more sense now. thank q
My only complaint about Episode 1 is the execution. It felt a bit awkward at times because they focused so much on close-up face shots and every little facial movement that the overall body language and scene flow suffered. I get that they're trying to show off everyone's face cards (and honestly, they all have them ðŸ˜), but I hope they tone it down in the next episodes and let the scenes breathe a little more.
Other than that, I think it's a pretty good start, and I'm definitely interested in seeing where the story goes.
Okay, so I haven't read the novel because *Mo Li* already had 350+ chapters, and this one also has 350+ chapters. I just couldn't bring myself to start another marathon. ðŸ˜
From what I understood, the Fifth Prince's wife, the lone survivor of the Gu Mansion. She used the Fan family vine and framed them. And when she basically said, *"If I'm going down, your whole clan is coming with me,"* I was like... damn, that's one way to make sure no one wins. Such a badass move.
Also, am I the only one who thinks GQ and SXH have the same face? They never clearly showed her face, but the features looked so similar to me. I'm really curious if that's actually the case or if I'm just overthinking it.
So GQ is reborn with the memories of her past life and Princess SXH's memories too, right? But the way she schemes and plans everything feels like it's completely her own. She literally started making moves from the first episode. I love a strong female lead who actually uses her brain.
For a moment, it reminded me of *The Princess's Gambit*, but only a little. The plot feels quite different. There, the female lead became the way she was because of everything she went through. Here, GQ now SXH already seems like someone who knows exactly how to play the game.
And He Yu... not you acting all fragile and harmless while secretly pulling all the strings. 😠Also, are we really supposed to believe he's not already completely interested in GQ? It's only been, what, two encounters? Sir, you're already paying way too much attention to her.
And why is everyone in this drama so good-looking? Seriously.
I recognized the Ninth Prince, Chang Ying, from *FOF*. I really liked him there, so it was nice seeing him again.
But I'm sorry, SXH is wrong about one thing. Saying he's not as handsome as the Sixth Prince? Girl!!!!!!!!!!... the 9 th Prince is literally walking eye candy. ðŸ˜
Overall, I liked the first episode. My only complaint is the editing. It felt like some scenes were cut and joined together a bit abruptly. I really hope they don't keep doing that in the next episodes because everything else has me interested.
Lol the censorship board will lose their mind if they read this novel ..like is it true her x lover was not after FL but for the current boyfriend of FL Who wrote this novel .....💀💀🤣🤣 BL fandom will goo nuts🤣🤣🤣🤣

**Me:** Girl, don't say stuff like that! The intro already scared me enough.
