They won the MBC Best Script award and I was like — HELLO??? 💀 Leak that original script immediately because I heard the leaked version actually had enough well-written plot for a proper 16-episode drama.
The production company apparently forced the writer to rush everything into 12 episodes 😭
When I first heard the script won an award, I was about to throw hands 💀 But then I found out the original script supposedly had way more depth and plotlines than what they actually showed… and honestly, it could’ve easily worked as a solid 16-episode drama.
I really had a fun time with it. It was the first K-drama that brought me back into the K-drama world after this year’s drought season.
The script was actually good… they just rushed everything. It honestly could’ve been a 16-episode drama with proper time to uncover everything. I seriously don’t know what the writers and producers smoke while deciding whether a drama should be 12 or 16 episodes 💀
When a drama doesn’t even need extra plot, they drag it to 16 episodes. But when the story actually needs deeper exploration, they mess it up and give us only 12
Overall, it was great, but there are still so many plot holes and unresolved questions. The real crime the production committed was reducing it to 12 episodes 😭💀
I heard the original script — the one that won the MBC Best Script award — was leaked, and apparently it had way more plot than what was finally shown in the drama. It could’ve easily maintained the pacing and properly developed the story from the beginning if they hadn’t sabotaged the original script by forcing it into only 12 episodes 😭
So honestly… shame on the production, not on the actors. The cast did their best with what they were given ✋ And the fall of the monarchy… sorry to say, but it honestly felt like a wise decision I don’t know why some people don’t understand that it’s basically just a golden cage — where lives are mostly presented for appearances, dressing up, and maintaining an image 💀
So in that sense, the fall of the monarchy actually felt meaningful and necessary in the story.
PS: The face card never declined 😭✨
And the second couple honestly felt a bit forced… but Steve Noh gave one of his best performances 👏
And Daebi Mama??? Give that woman the lead role in the next drama immediately 😭 Girl delivered more expressions than half the cast combined — fear, anger, resentment, anguish, betrayal… she nailed every emotion in this drama 💀✨
TBH, she deserved to be the second highest-paid cast member.
And honestly… I’m watching that drama too right now ✋
Because some haters come there just to babble nonsense without even understanding the story
This is genuinely one of the best POVs and interpretations of the drama I’ve seen so far

But to avoid being mistaken for a hater, I shortened it down to this much ✋
Is it not in your list?
But I wrote the negative parts more like complaints so the hater zombies wouldn’t drag me into their league
Hope to meet you all again in another drama someday
I had a pleasant time chatting and discussing with you all. Until then…
Adieu 💔
