Actually, the reason is that, according to the novel, before the female lead transmigrated, Wang Yin was known for her cunning nature and always envied the consorts favored by the emperor, playing tricks on them. Remember the epilogue where the SFL's maid said she was pushed into the water? It was Wang Yin(not the now transmigrated FL)! Now that the female lead has transmigrated, the plot still follows, but people now hate her, as they believe she manipulates the emperor. Thus, she's called the demonic consort - poor girl, even without doing anything, the plot makes her evil.
