That's the only reason I am worried about. A bad screenwriting can even ruin the short drama. With a drama of this length, It will take a lot of efforts to succeed. I will trust the Hong sisters to make it exciting all the way to the end but I don't want an similar ending like of Hwayugi.
Very Popular domestically, not very internationally
I've been a fan of Chen Xiao ever since I watched Qing dynasty based movie 'The Palace', however I wasn't impressed with the storyline. 'Nothing Gold Can Stay' was much better.

If this masked man is other than these both a$$es, it sure does become pointless and unnecessary. This could have been avoided or replaced with another scene of lesser evil.

I agree. Such scenes are so barbaric. Literally. I do not consider myself a veteran watcher of Chinese costume dramas but I am relieved to not have seen such stuff in almost all of the titles I have watched.
