China definitely does it better. But, most of the time they tend to cast new and inexperienced actors as main leads, nah... This ruins a good production. Sometimes, there is an exception but its very rare. Out of all dramas you mentioned, I was only able to finish 'Ling Yu'.
Maybe its because of my particular taste. I prefer actors like Zhang Ruo Yun.
