This drama has the same vibe as the Ming Lan. The slow burn romance and comedic interaction with the supporting characters are so satisfying to watch. The most interesting is the character development of Cheng Shao Shang. I can't help but root for her.
I feel so hurt for Yan Dan and Ying Yuan. This tragedy could have been avoided if only the B¡tch lamp lady didn't interfere. The main leads are doing so well. I can really feel their emotions. On the side note, Cheng Yi has become the blood spitting prince. Why his characters couldn't avoid this fate, that's beyond me.

I know. Xianxia dramas have serious angst and I hate such angst. That's why I stick to Wuxia and historical dramas. I have watched many dramas of this genre but finished only a few of them. 'Ten Miles of the Peach Blossom' is my favourite.
But, I keep trying to watch Xianxias because of the beautiful costumes and the amazing world Chinese authors create.
Will the angst continue for the rest of the drama? I prefer Wuxia but I am watching because of the leads. And, of course the main characters do not lack any senses or have locked heart. Forgive me for saying this but I seriously don't like stories with above mentioned tropes.
What does the preview of the 13th episode mean? Wasn't Yan Dan already punished with the thunder strikes? What is the new crime Yan Dan being accused of?
