here’s my theory:
I think Young Pil’s mom got herself killed because of the rain.
Maybe she was diving that day instead of Sam Dal’s mom (which would explain why Young Pil’s Dad is ressentful of her) and there was a storm or something… That would explain why Young Pil became a weather forecaster and why he is always fixated on the rain and precision.
