I saw similarities in the characters and how they talked to each other and behaved not the story, obviously it’s not comparable to that.

I looove the romance but it's going a bit slow, I want mooore from the main couple, I guess the last episodes will be all about them but for now I don't really care what about the politics and what the grandfather is doing. Also I want more from the second leads like Lee Hyun Noh Ha Kyung Shin So Eun and Kim Ga On and their interactions with the main couple

For sure there are some flaws like the lyrics you said were off but it left such a good impression on me as a story and the acting that the ost didn’t bother me that much and I enjoyed it. Maybe if I watched it again I’ll notice it more and it might annoy me. Anyway it’s a good drama and if some people look for a typical kdrama romcom that’s not what Something in the rain is. I’ll watch One spring night soon I think I’ll start it tomorrow so I’ll let you know when I finish it. I have only seen a trailer for now and I think I’ll like it but I feel like there’s more chemistry between Jung Haein and Son Yeji.

After I started the 1st episode I decided to look at the comments and reviews here and I got scared because I saw so many bad comments and reviews, most saying 'it's boring, I wasted my time, it was good until the 7th episode'. I am the kind of person who continues a drama without getting affected by other people's opinions. I also concluded that I don't trust all ‘asian drama watchers’, I guess we don't have the same taste. Something in the rain is an excellent kdrama.
About the story, it touchs on matters like family stereotypes, dating and marriage stereotypes, friendship in adulthood, sexism in workplace and incidents of SH. It's not a typical romance kdrama and it's not for everyone. It needs a 'strong stomach' and the emotional cappacity to understand the charachers situations and emotions. I didn't get bored after the 7th or 8th episode as some say, it was the opposite tbh because the last episodes ended with cliffhangers and I was more invested to the story than I was in the first.
The acting is EXCELLENT, it feels very real while you watch it and Jung Haein really does justice to noona dramas. I even got really annoyed by certain characters but that's what good acting is.
The music is also very good, it gives a warm vibe to the serries. For me it's a drama that you will enjoy more watching during autumn/winter or early spring.

THE CAST OMG

I finished it and I didn't fully enjoy it but that's personal because I'm not so into the supernatural, distopian genre. If it wasn't supernatural maybe it would be one of my favs like "Save me". I really like the meanings about life and sins and the cast is also really good. So if you like this kind of genre, you will enjoy it, it's sort serries and probably will have a 2nd season.

I loooove the main leads, they have chemistry and I wait in all episodes for their interactions also the way the story is escalating makes me so excited for next episodes, like I don't even have 2nd or 3rd male lead sydrome on this kdrama all I care is the main couple

I have a crazy theory in my mind, what if Kim Ga On the one who protects the crown price (Yeon Seon) is actually her brother that somehow he was saved !? Idk why I keep thinking about it it's crazy because they showed the body of the boy being burned but yeah

The romance isn’t unnecessary, it’s very much needed and adds a deeper meaning to the story. Hyejin actually found the person who can understand her pain and feels safe with him after running from everyone her whole life. If Pildo wasn’t killed then the ending supposed to be catching Moojin and sending him to jail but since Pildo was killed, Hyejin found again her motivation to kill him herself. So yeah the romance played a big role for the ending stop saying they shouldn’t include it.

Finally Ahn Bohyun in a romcom lead role, I need more of him

For me it belongs to dark comedy dramas and that’s why I enjoyed it. If you try hard to make it realistic in your head it can frustrate you. It deserves the hype especially for the last episodes ;)
