So, so happy I chose to watch this drama. I agree with a lot of the comments below - if you're looking for a hardcore gritty detective series, this won't be for you. I think the best way to describe it is "quiet" - each episode is warm, soothing and endearing. Expect less crime and more "mystery". :)
It's definitely not a perfect drama but I loved it, and know it's something I'll be returning to again and again. If you're looking for something different, give it a try... I'm pretty sure the magic of this gorgeous drama will grow on you too. :)
It started off as a great drama, and it still is, in my opinion. But the ending was just terrible. Shioriko mentioned…
Although I do agree with most of what you've said, I do feel like the whole ending set itself up for a Part 2, which is why nothing was totally resolved. However you are completely correct, labelling it as a romance isn't quite right since there isn't much (if any) in there.

Hahahaha, that's alright - I'm glad my comment made you smile. :) And to be honest I was quite shocked to read the height thread too! It's like everybody was saying that to find a good boyfriend/girlfriend, you should just walk around with a clipboard matching everyone you meet with a list of "acceptable" physical traits you've already chosen. And then if you find somebody who ticks all of the boxes, they're obviously the man/woman of your dreams! xD I just found the entire thing insane - I still just can't bring myself to believe people would really do that... >_<
I don't understand all the raving reviews this drama got. :( I thought it started off really, really well, but got so boring towards the end that I genuinely don't understand why I finished it. I think I was waiting to be amazed (since everybody else said it was so fantastic)... but no, nothing. Such a shame :'(
I just didn't like it...seriously don't see the appeal...probably just me :p
Totally agree with you. I found it over-exaggerated and way dumbed down... as in, it's like everything kids do on a playground was supposed to be funny (farts, burps, bad breath whatever). However I know it's supposed to be the live-action of a manga - and I loved the Host Club live-action drama for exactly the same reason (the characters were stupidly over-the-top, because that's how they were in the manga). So I think people should watch the manga first so they understand why the characters are acting that way.
