what is wrong with the age gap? remember when people complained about age gap in "my ahjussi " but it turned out to be well received drama.. and the lead chemistry was praised by many. just wait n see this drama. And FYI, suzy is also paired with Ha Jung Woo in their movie together with the same age gap.

the truth is, they played the song but without the lyrics, because Hymn of Death actually a cover song of "Wave of Danube" that been played in their dock chamber before they committed suicide.

the truth is, the original character was exactly still young and around the cast's age. . at that moment SHS and LJS is 29 old. the same age as shimdeok who died at 29.

the casting was intented to looking for actors who can act, and suitable for characters. lol

maybe melodrama isn't your cup of tea. i've rewatched this over five time till now.

i like her and appreciate her beauty, really. for me, she is the most beautiful actress in SK. literally. she is not even in one of my fav actors list.

everything seems out of place, i mean the plot and characters. the storyline was not smooth tbh. but i still enjoyed the cast esp Jo Seung Wu.

Reply 1997 is my ultimate one fav drama ever... I do not think that is underrated. The early ep was low rating but then it exploded. It has many complements and award. In fact, the 1997 series paved a way for the next reply series (and its stars) to the stardom..

I feel personally attacked bc that was exactly i like and now i am married with two kids. Just because u don't like some characters in some dramas, it does not mean that such-annoying and childish persons do not exist in real life. And reply 1997 tells more about reality in life than ideal romance story that most and common people watched in dramas

This is my least favorite among of reply series even among of Director's series.. super duper dragged story.. and i think i could not finish this. It tooks more than 2 years to watched and i am still in ep 14. I intend to finish this just for the PD-nim's sake bc i am his fans.

u can say that this drama is overrated and so bla bla, yes indeed. look at the local rating, and it was one of commercially unsuccessful dramas in that year. But hey, this drama is GREAT and SO POPULAR worldwide. this MDL's rate does imply that this drama is really good and worth watching bc many people worldwide enjoy this. if u don't agree, just dropped it. Just as simple as that.

i like this show.. the story is simple yet good.. but surprisingly beautiful and heartwarming...

Nahh, just edit yourself the tag if ur bothered by. frankly, i didn't watch dramas just bc i read some tags on some fans site. I read the news and articles about the dramas. also i watched the trailers even the highlight of press conferences before. if the plot is lacking it doesn't justify the whole drama as an "ultimate example of bait and switch" like u said.

From the very first trailer, there no such thing as "rom-com" bait as u said.. and no one would say that based on trailers, this drama gonna be pure rom-com like you expected. have you watched the trailer? u must be know nothing about the circumstances of this drama before.

For me, they are not just bickering and then bboom they fell in love in split of seconds. Give and take, remember? And their lot of moment together is enough for them to developing 'something' imao
