Yes! Apart from the rushed ending, this is the sort of drama I've been longing for, It is different from the other dramas I watched and that are popular. It was like a manga that came to life. I am not usually pleased by more war than romance but this is the first time the martial arts really seemed outstanding to me. It made me feel like a child that got not just one candy but a variety of other candies.

It had gotten a high rating from me because the drama held my interest but as much as I was disappointed in the last 10 episodes, the balance of romance and martial arts in this drama was so satisfying to me.
The ending did disappoint me a lot and the snippet below of a summary written by a person who has read the novel that this drama was adapted from is another reason why I felt so:

"He realises he loves her very much and will not be able to live without her. Hence, he utilises all her energy by practising an old martial arts skill where it can revive anyone at death door to save her. She is saved but he has aged 30 years and is on the brink of death, with his skin all wrinkled and his hair turning white overnight. Fortunately, this is reversible and he recovers his good health and look. They decide to give up everything and roam the martial arts world, living a peaceful and carefree life. Ultimately he chooses his beauty, FXY over the ‘world’. Whereas HC gets the world but a lonely man, peerless and with a loveless marriage."

In the drama this did not happen entirely, unfortunately, all we know is that Hei Fenxi will die in a matter of 10 years but in the novel, it seems that he had just aged faster and that in itself is reversible, honestly, I am a sucker for happy endings and the novel had given me justice than the drama, now I can only imagine the ending that felt unfinished in the drama.
I have no idea why the ending was so rushed but I wish the producer would have done a better job. I was saying to myself at least 10 or 20 more episodes and this drama would have felt complete. Anyhow it was a wholesome drama and since it is more positive than negative for me I gave this drama a 10 for making me feel happy and satisfied.

I never knew she was popular until I fell in love with her. Her acting is spectacular and gives life to the characters she acts as, many times when I see clips of dramas with upbeat female leads it just looks like they are acting which they are but with Zhao Lusi, it is like the character is real and it is not just acting. The same goes for actors like Yang Yang, Dilraba Dilmurat and Yang Zi, they give life to their characters that make everything feel real and not just an act. I've recently stumbled across actors Cheng Yi and Li Hongyi and I am blown away by their acting too, it is magnificent, again it is the realness they provide their characters with.

I watched this about a year or 2 ago and honestly I wondered why the comments was in total condolence with the Fl and shun plus hated the Fl. They both lost their child but why is it only the woman's pain was seen, it was like only she could feel the pain of the lost child and not the Ml because I guess he wasn't carrying it according to the comments I read. Honestly as a woman if I were a man I'd probably give up on her after a while, be strong but not arrogant is what I would tell the Fl.
