there were too many events they have to cram into this 2 hour movie. you don't get to see the struggles and emotions oshin really goes through.... they just have a quick 30 second summary of most parts. <br /><br />they didn't show how oshin desperately wanted to go to school and learn, or how her grandmother went without food so oshin wouldn't have to be sent away. in the series her family lived in an awful dirt floor hut, while the movie has them in a pretty nice tatami mat house. definitely watch the series if you're interested in oshin

i don't think they're even going to show any intimate scenes. i mean this is a j-drama... but i'm glad they're filming right away while it's fresh in the mind. it looks weird sometimes when characters aged too much in a sequel
