Thank you for the explanation but the thing you’ve been explaining is a simple logic and of course I know about it. However what I mean is, even from the very first episode (they didn’t know each other’s feeling) or flashback scene (when they’re on their high school), I can’t feel the strong chemistry or something like “cute friendship” thingy considering they’re know each other since elementary school. As a childhood friends, I bet they've been through a lot of embarrassing moments together.
Wow can’t believe this show has the same production with The Veil. The story, the acting, and the atmosphere are more interesting and more intriguing than The Veil itself. The cinematography is also waaaay much better.

That's because they have an agreement to kill the child who grows up to be a psychopath. They exchange it so they don't feel guilty when they kill the child (because it's not their own son)
