Most of us saw that potential but the show might not take that route.
yeah..agree.....Let's hope common sense wins and they end up together... I guess I'm more invested in their relationship than the characters are....lol

I don't know much about the specifics of the Chinese drama industry, but in many cases when production companies…
I can understand why some people feel disappointed when an adaptation doesn't match the book. By the time you've finished reading, you've already built the characters, scenes, and story in your head. When the drama takes a different direction, it's natural to feel a bit disconnected from it.

That's also why you'll often see labels like "based on the novel..." or "inspired by the story of..." rather than promising a completely faithful adaptation. Sometimes the goal is to adapt the core ideas rather than recreate every detail.

And yes, I agree—the director is probably the key factor here. A good director can balance the commercial side of an idol drama with the stronger storytelling structure of a well-written novel. That's not always easy, but when it works, you end up with something that appeals to both drama viewers and book fans.

i would like to see the original script the writers put their time for a year to work on it but they are all fired…
I don't know much about the specifics of the Chinese drama industry, but in many cases when production companies buy adaptation rights, they also gain the right to change the script however they want. Sometimes they even bring in different professional screenwriters to rewrite it. The value of the contract is usually tied to how many rights are being sold in the first place...
Even publishing companies sometimes push for changes for marketing purposes or to appeal to a wider audience. In some cases, stories get adjusted not because they're "better," but because they're considered more commercially viable.

From my experience, a lot of decisions end up being driven by what producers, publishers, or investors think the broader audience wants rather than the writer's original vision.
Unfortunately, once money gets involved, the best story and the most marketable story aren't exactly the same thing.
That's where a lot of these changes come from.

God, our girl is so pretty.... Simple outfit, hair down, eyes covered with a bandage... and she's still looking absolutely stunning...

Lol... so she's drunk, laying on his knees, and he's lecturing and scolding her nonstop, SO his arm-man is basically shouting from outside like:

"My Lady... have you considered covering his mouth with your lips?"

And our man got real quiet after that...LOL

He must have learned that move from Story of Kunning Palace. He thought that trick moved Xue Ning (Bai Lu) toward…
Interesting! That didn't even cross my mind. Great point!..

The cute assassin is becoming my favorite.

He's basically:

Target acquired
Target survived
Target seems nice
Target kidnapped me
I know everything and I'm willing to spill... just don't hurt me. ...lol

Bro started as an assassin and somehow evolved into a witness, a hostage, and the most reliable gossip source.

I LOVE HIM...

her ex keeps getting cringier… now he’s literally forcing her to stab him to prove his {{deep love }} while she's standing there convinced he was involved in killing her academy people...

the delusion is insane...

anyway... the man is still ridiculously handsome,,lol

So the cute assassin is happy his target didn’t die, and the sister -who hired him- is also low-key relieved she’s alive…

AND now they’re sitting there discussing the end of their :{{professional relationship}}...lol
This is the softest assassin breakup ever....

And yeah… I’m kinda rooting for them too ... don’t judge me, I see the romantic potential... lol

Title The First Jasmine Spoiler
He thinks he is seeing the ghost of his other wife, Ye Li's mother. It was actually Ye Li who snuck out at night.…
Thanks for the info💕That actually cleared up a lot for me. I can totally see Ye Li sneaking out at night to give her ungrateful father a little lesson..
BUT I still don't know if she can realistically make those late-night trips and get back unnoticed every time...
BUT again , every time our girl starts one of her mysterious voodoo thingy something happens right after..lol.

The goddess looked like she was caught between a smile and tears... and our girl understood that expression because she's living it herself...

Beautiful scene...
