I had hoped there won't be any cheating plot here, but of course, my hope was dashed as soon as Yuri's scenes came on screen. I wanted to be proven wrong, but four episodes in, the plot seems to be as I had guessed: the husband cheated on Soohyun with Yuri.
He's the son to the man soohyun knocked with her car( the man responsible for her son's death)
It looks like ML pretended to be the him to dig on his past, because he suspects the kid is the to send the photo to Soohyun. Also, note that he called his friend as soon as he walked out of the orphanage and asked her to look up his crime records.
The long wait for SIG's comeback drama is so worth it! With so many big name actors and fast paced story, it's just so easy for everything to go south, but amazingly not only did the actors hold their end, but so did the story. Everything move so fast, but it's still pretty easy to follow and each actor shines in their own respective part. Aside from SIG, kudos to LJW and LDH for nailing their role. Also, the bits of SIG and GYJ are so precious, I need them in a proper romance drama.
What is the curse for ML (Cha Eun Woo/Jin Seo Won) and did the FL’s father get it and how was he cured. Love…
As I understood it, the curse ran from Hae Na's mother side of the family, not her father. The old dog in the vet clinic is actually her mother's younger brother who failed to break the curse when Hae Na was much younger. As for Seo Won, there hasn't been any revelation in the drama if he had any curse (I don't think he has any tho), but maybe they will explain how he met Bo Gyeom and become friends later on.
The wait for one new episode per week is a pain. This is why I should do what I usually did: started a binge-watch when it has 8+ episodes aired.
Anyways, I have weakness for men in baseball cap and Cha Eun Woo looks so damn good when he came to confront that piece of trash. Not really happy that she couldn't tell him the truth till the end and that the following kiss happened outside in the rain, but the kiss itself and CAW's wet hair more than make up for it.
Yes, yes and yes!! Kim Bum's long IG story post worried me, but hopefully he will also join for the third season. I can't imagine a TOTNT without the fox brothers.
I wasn't following the drama closely when it was airing, but I heard JSM had conflicting schedule. Anyway, yeah,…
Mudeok and Naksu are the same soul. The new female lead has this soul within her, but without the memory of her life as Cho Yeong the young orphan, Naksu the assassin and Mudeok the maid/soulshifter.
its was not moo-yeong brother and again lee yeon had to make choice of whether to save is brothers fiance and…
Yeon and Shin Ju made it in time to go back to 2023. Not sure if there's any confirmed cast for season 3 aside from Lee Dong Wook. But, I'm hoping the fox family will all return.
Mooyoung was turned into stone by Taluipa hundreds of years ago, in 2023 timeline, he just recently became human again before stealing the guardian stone and jumped back in time to 1938. There's no explanation on Hong Joo's whereabouts in 2023, but from their conversation, it seemed like Yeon and Hong Joo hadn't met in a very long time that Hong Joo didn't even know the real 1938-Yeon was an opium addict. With that past, I don't think they meet up much or ever up to 2023. Maybe now that Yeon's back from the past, he could try and locate Hong Joo (if she were still alive).

It does feel like they're trying to make the narration fit the change in female lead, but I don't really mind much and enjoyed watching both seasons. Have fun catching up!
Two episodes in and it's still as exciting to watch as expected. Was worried for a hot minute that our sweet Nurse Euntaek and Dr. Yoon had problems, but so happy to see them smiling so widely at each other there. I've seen Minjae in many dramas, but Nurse Euntaek will always hold a soft spot in my heart.
Anyways, I kinda hoped they'd go on a different route with the villain, but here is another person trying to take Kim Sabu down and remove him from Doldam. I hope they won't drag it too much and make it as the main issue. Also, gonna miss the old Doldam interior.
Really hope season 1 casts could make special appearances!
Just started season 2... Seriously, was it necessary to change the FL? She did not want to return? Did her body…
I wasn't following the drama closely when it was airing, but I heard JSM had conflicting schedule. Anyway, yeah, JBY/Mudeok's body was petrifying when she jumped off the cliff and according to Master Lee's initial assessment, they cannot use JBY/Mudeok's soul to revive her because her energy is weak, but they could save it by using Naksu's stronger energy that's still inside her. And if they were to do the latter, to avoid the body running wild in the future, the body's outer appearance should reflect the dominating soul which is Naksu/Cho Yeong. Master Lee thought Naksu's soul would eventually perish when she regained her memories because then she would be aware that even if it's her face, the body was not hers. What neither of them know, including Master Lee, was that JBY/Mudeok's soul was in fact not JBY/Mudeok but Jin Seol Ran. So, it was JBY/Mudeok's body with Naksu/Cho Yeong's soul and face and Jin Seol Ran's soul lying dormant in waiting. Also, in the end, Naksu's soul didn't perish.
About why Jang Uk didn't practice the martial art: I think they mention earlier that because his gate of energy…
I considered that as well, but I think he should, at the very least, still received basic training that doesn't require activating his energy. But, then again, he was a headstrong kid who refused to follow the advises and helps offered to him; he was only obsessed on the one thing denied to him: accessing his energy.
I understand your points, but this drama is the first of the Reply series, this wasn't made to "earn profit/milk…
Yes, Reply 1997 is the first out of all the series, then it's Reply 1994 (2013) and Reply 1988 (2015). I read some articles saying Reply 1997 didn't do well initially because the three main station (KBS, SBS, MBC) are still dominating when it comes to drama, but despite that and those issues you mentioned, the drama started to get attention. It isn't perfect, but many still enjoyed and loved it so much that the production team created the following Reply series.
Damn this was one hell of a boring drama! I have seen the extremely high ratings and people hyping the shit out…
I understand your points, but this drama is the first of the Reply series, this wasn't made to "earn profit/milk the franchise." It's created with minimal budget with many idol/rookie actors, so people weren't really expecting it to do that well, especially since tVN wasn't yet known to produce dramas. Also, without this drama's success, there won't be the following Reply 1994 and Reply 1988.
Watched this on my journey of binge-watching Hwang Minhyun's content and it's really not bad. The story is well executed and the actors are doing well portraying their characters.
I get your point that they're all the same Naksu/Cho Yeong inside but with different outward appearance and persona,…
I didn't mean them disclosing her real identity as Naksu/Cho Yeong to the public, but clearing her name so that people know the truth about what happened when she was running wild under Jin Mu's divination and killed Jin Cho Yeon's father and Jang Uk. People still think of her as a dangerous assassin even after she'd 'died', but at least she wasn't entirely responsible for what happened in ep. 20. I hope they did something about that and let the public know, just so the bad talk about her would lessen.
I'm not sure if there's any standard to this, but his appearance is not very long in those eps, but because his…
I think you can submit an edit to that bit of information and then one of the admin will review your edit. There's guidelines in how to do that, but I don't think the source has to be in Korean.
