I’m gonna be a 1000% honest I had no idea what was going on in this plot nor did I care, but the chemistry was off the charts with the leads!! I need to see them in a similar drama to Moving or Beyond Evil
I know this is based on a novel but something about the execution felt exactly like Beyond Evil, I think they even used the same house for the ML. kinda predictable and frustrating at times but I remember it was fun waiting for a new ep every week
LDW needs more roles like this, he’s always set up any time he’s in a romance drama and it just doesn’t work for him as well as darker roles do. he was PERFECT in Strangers From Hell
ML should have been single..... i love me some Kentaro but this was such a hard watch for me, i couldn't feel bad or empathize with literally anyone except for his wife. they should have at least made his marriage complicated or have them be on the verge of divorce, idk something about the execution just felt icky and not in a nuanced way. i hated the FL, so i totally understand why a lot of people had mixed feelings about this one.
Hot take but I don’t think Eun Woo is a bad actor, and he was probably the best part of this drama…. but the FL was so stiff and they had no chemistry at allllll. This could’ve been a 90 minute movie tbh
I think I was just left expecting more in the end… the dynamics and friendships could’ve been fleshed out some more if the eps were a little longer, but overall I loved the setting bc I thought I’d feel a little claustrophobic watching them unable to leave the hotel, but that was handled pretty well. Hoping for a second season!!
simple. Romance just isn't his genre. He does better in action, thriller, even comedy etc. That was evident when…
True! I’m watching TOTNT1938 rn and he definitely needs more comedy roles, he always does great in creepy stuff but I feel like in SK he’s almost been boxed into this brooding hyper-sexualised part that doesn’t really fit his niche. It’s always a treat to see him in anything tho
one of the many instances where you shouldn't trust the rating here on MDL and just check it out for yourself if you're even a little intrigued by the premise, like i was. i initially thought about dropping it but i love JHI and i haven't seen anything like this so i kept watching.
10/10 it won't be everyone's cup of tea but i can definitely say, whether you liked it or not, there aren't many dramas similar to this storyline, esp ones based on a webtoon. give it a try!!
i couldnt agree more. When i saw that he is credited as a screenwriter thats exactly how i felt. I think his ego…
exactly! those two were the reason many people including myself were so excited to see this finally come out, it just feels like a huge slap in the face to those who were anticipating this for so long, all of the actors except MDS deserve so much better
tell me why LDW always has more exceptional chemistry with his male counterparts than any of the amazing actresses i've seen him with..... this needs to be studied
this just felt like a huge power trip for Don Lee, his massive ego is off the charts in this.... and you can tell he obviously favoured his character and getting asspats from other characters rather than spend time fleshing out the plot and actually having an interesting and immersive storyline. what a shame, this had the potential to be one of the best dramas of the decade.
Can someone please tell me it gets better? I just finished episode one, and honestly, it didn’t draw me in at…
definitely more of a slow burn, but the chemistry is insane between the two MLs. i watched it with a friend so i kinda forced myself to get through it in the beginning like you, but i found myself looking forward to the next ep each day, it might not be your cup of tea in the end but i'd give it a few more ep to really see for yourself!!
