Chinese writers they always do the extreme if not making ml a simp they make fl a doormat lol I will not watch any of them because lately I don't watch dramas if it's not a mature relationship and they both invest in the relationship not just one side and they make it ml more the times , and I'm talking specially about romance and romcom because I don't watch other genres that much , and the two you mentioned are not romance and the : a lonely hero's journey just from the tile it gives you the ml personality and plot lol and he was in more important journey to make time for love or women this what I get from reading synopsis and the drama have a good ratings on platforms and in this app too , it's not a drama I will watch because I dislike politics genre and that era of war world two, lol

give us dramas fl suffer more than ml because of him , not in all drama we talking about be in suffering because of ml or fl , so mention some dramas that fl suffer more than ml ( I don't say fls are demonic or unsympathetic) but they are more Cold and emotionless if they get mad don't even feel sorry to make him suffer because he do something wrong, but if it's mls they make them forgive fls really fast and without even a proper apologize,

if you watch the royal princess she killed him literally and didn't apologize and even get mad at him, and before she humiliated him and bullied him and degrading him in front of her real killer and she didn't know, but when she knows the real killer she didn't even apologize or take revenge on the real killer because he's her friend with benefits lol
