what I'm dislike about this double standard about virginity is they always show fl's ex and how she loved him and cute moments and ml has to fight him for fl and protect her and accept that ، but they never show ml have an ex and fl fight for him and even if she didn't show up just mentioned it some way when he talks about himself and how he lived in America but no they never show that and make us believe he was fitful for his first love and still think about her and his mission in life to make her dating him 🤣😅

I just remembered in welcome to samdalri lol she try to forget him by dating many men in time he was fitful to her and support her secretly and never think about forgetting her or dating another woman, and her confess to him is that she dated many men and try to forget him lol and if he didn't chase her again she will never try to be with him, and when she feels sorry for him how he sacrifice a lot fir her even in time she was far from home, she decided to be with him 🤣🤣

is there romance between the leads or there no romance in this drama!?

no they didn't show that, in the novel she did sleep with him , but in one scene in the drama sml said to fl that he wish if they had having children 😐

just because of this drama I get many ml fans blocked me lol because I dislike ml's simping and fl playing with two men and they say you have to think she just love ml in all her life and don't interpret her actions and looks toward sml that she loves him lol so if you want to watch this drama you have to be a second director and fix his mistakes and actresse bad acting because she act like she's in love in place she just wants to understand why sml killed her lol in Cdrama and kdrama mls
just simps without dignity and have no other purpose than being a love slaves, they do everything for fl and tolerate everything and they in a lot of dramas CEOs virgins in time fls just break up with her first love lol or she's have many relationship , and that fls loves their work more than mls and don't do for mls anything except if they make him cry she hug him lol

about what you said first, yes he's the most simp ml I watch in Cdrama ,
and in this one not just about her having another man but the fact that she killed him without a second taught but when she knows it's sml who let her die she didn't do to him anything and even more crazy she will do nothing to sml if he killed ml for his his plans like she said to him she will just hate him for life lol but it's understandable she even feel sorry for him after what all he did to her and ml , and what more crazy is that ml who has to do everything till she like him again , but if we talk logic and that they're equal she who has to do that because she who cheated and killed him, and he who has to take revenge and be mad and don't trust her , not her who make him suffer all his two life just because she misunderstood him and still don't trust him and even for half of the drama play hard to get and still need time till she love him again , and all of this and sml in her life in many ways and she knows he killed her in a way and she still feel sorry for him but ml just because he helped his female friend she make him be a cuckold and humiliated him in past life and in the beginning of the second one lol and people saying waw the best ml and green flag husband lol of course he's in there view because he's the perfect for women even if you cheated on him he still feel sorry and blame himself because you doing that, lol I don't dislike this much a drama like this one because of how they make a smart strategist and handsome and carismatic man just a love slave without dignity or backbone and he accept everything fl do to him even after she cheated on him and killed him he didn't even asked her for a simple apologize but blame himself and he's more understanding that she has needs so having a lover is okay and it's his job to make her like him too like she likes sml and he don't feel sad she didn't killed sml after she knows he's the one who killed her like she killed him lol he's just a pawn she love but not till she take revenge for him if her lover killed him ! and they talking about how she protect him lol she do that for herself to protect her reputation and make it clear to them that she will not let anyone disrespect her by disrespect ml , like they say if you want to hit the dog think about his master lol

and more they get back in time so they have to be more mature not childish and they know what miscommunication do to them but still don't communicate specially fl , ml still trying and say to her everything

that what the show about she "sfl" just give up not like fl towards sml , and ml towards fl lol it's all first love and chasing it till the end lol he's waiting for 10 years and still fitful to her and didn't date anyone, and she do everything to be with sml and even after he leave she still single and didn't date anyone till ml came and change her mind lol

what frustrating me is she giving him time and talking to him and I bet she will help him believing she has some duty to do so , and don't think how ml will feel ( hope not )

I get that kdrama they make some actresses act same roles if they success in the first one like the actress in good partner drama lol most of her roles about a wife getting cheated on by her husband and have a kid and fight her husband for divorce and the custody of the child lol and

so you telling me a drama about fl loves sml and he cheated on her and she go back in time and still has sml in her life and he chasing her and she even confess to him how she loved him that much is not a love triangle!? and I get from comments that she was immature tell the last third of the drama and ml has to tolerate all that and she for sml in past she do a lot but for ml she just benefits from his unconditionally love and still he didn't get a happy ending and it's just angst with a slight romance ( From what I read I get that ml is like all Cdramas mls a simp who fall first sight in love and didn't confess and fl she loves another man and date him for years and she don't love ml like she loved sml but he's too good to not like him and be with him specially sml is not her first love she loved!?
this is just my speculation from watching too much of simps mls and ignorant fls lol and what is more frustrating that the ending I read it's not good and you need to watch a movie to just get a couple of seconds of a happy ending lol

yeah it's logic, I get surprised if she didn't break up with him, and it's more choking if she didn't believe sml lies lol , it's always the ml easy to break up with , not like breaking up with SML in all dramas , because fl don't love ml like she loved sml and it's easy because ml always simping so he will not get mad even if she do anything bad to him , and she just start to date him so it's not that hard to think first solution is the break up and have piece of mind lol not fighting to be with him lol it's a blue moon to find a fl love ml more than her ex and have boundaries and fight to be with ml and don't think about break up first lol

the important thing what fl reaction to all of that not viewers lol and I think it's like always she will help him and feel sorry for him and even think he's has a point so she thinks about not accept ml confess or break up with him till sml get fine and ml mother too so it's double reason for a break up lol ( I don't watch it just speculation of mine about kdrama cliches lol

I read this review and it's exactly what I think too about this drama and I quote:
((. It is not that the story is bad but the screenwriter picks the wrong thing or character to focus on. If they want to make this into a second-chance romance, then it isn’t exactly romantic and fails to touch the heart. If they are thinking of having the male lead make amends and being the driver to force a better outcome for everyone, then he is hardly inspiring. And finally, if they had planned to make the female lead more sympathetic towards the second male lead, it ends up making her look indecisive between 2 men instead.

The reason why is obvious. It is because the story rather focuses on the second male lead and his obsession to stop the female lead’s brother from taking the throne. So, he is in love with her but he couldn’t have her. At the same time, they have a long history in their past lives whereby they actually had feelings for each other. A lot of attention is given to this complex relationship which is why the drama will be annoying for some viewers. The romance between the male and female leads is then left competing for this same attention.

Perhaps what the producers wanted is to have a tragic villain that elicits sympathy from viewers. And what the female lead feels for him is actually merely regret and heartache for an old acquaintance who refuses to see the light. But the message just got lost in the script and plot execution.

Characters’ Essence Is Missing
Except for the male lead, both the female lead and second male lead are complex characters.
The male lead, Wen Xuan, is reduced to a simp. All that the viewers will get from him is his total devotion to the female lead, Li Rong. His intelligence and talent as a strategist is severely downplayed. Such scenes are few and far in between compared to the screen time allotted to the second male lead, Rong Qing. Therefore, you will wonder at times who exactly is the main male lead in the drama.

Li Rong is someone who doesn’t trust easily due to her upbringing and the palace politics. She finds it hard to open up her heart. So, Wen Xuan is kept waiting while she will be shown to have this ‘what could have been’ vibes with Rong Qing. This will go on for at least 20 episodes. If you are particularly sensitive, you might even feel that she has feelings for Rong Qing all the way to the end. For me, I feel that she just has lingering regrets due to their past and wants him to be well. But I do think her actual feelings for Rong Qing is not well-articulated in the drama. Thus, the result is she feels like an indecisive woman which isn’t fair to Wen Xuan.

Romance Is Lacking

I wouldn’t say that the romance between the leads is totally bad. It is not. However, it also fails to inspire. The reason stems from the second male lead, palace politics and the not so well-written male protagonist. In The Double, there is also an ex lurking in the background but the message from the female lead is crystal clear. So, there is no ambiguity. The Princess Royal is more wishy-washy here which just puts a damper on the leads’ romance.

Then the palace politics also takes up a significant amount of time. There is the battle against the noble houses, the suspicious Emperor, and the scheming concubine. But the problem is the male lead isn’t in the driver’s seat in all of these. So, looking at it from the romance angle, it isn’t particularly satisfying to have the male lead being reduced to a supporting role to the female lead when they should be equals.

Therefore, while the romance is sweet at times, the male lead’s value seems to be limited to his unconditional love for the female lead and nothing more. This is still okay except for the fact that their love story isn’t too convincing. After 20 years of distrust and misunderstanding, there is no strong foundation for the male lead to do a 180-degree turn and becomes totally devoted to her instead. He might still love her but a poignant trigger is missing to make the romance heartfelt for the viewers.))
about my rating yes you're right if there a zero I will give it but unfortunately 😅🤣 it's for me and all drama I rate it's the drama in my black list because mls is just a simp doormat without dignity and fls like and love other things more than him and she don't even think twice before break up with him and he still chase after her lol .

in a scene in this drama not just in novel ml is understandable about that she slept with sml and he's okay with that, and they didn't show it it didn't mean they didn't do it , and is there a man not a simp will accept that and accept fl disrespect him and call him pig and idiot and other names and she's confuse between two men and he even try to make her be with sml is this not simping and you know it's after she ignores him for 17 years and she's with sml and she killed him but he still think it's he's fault and it's okay that she killed him and make him a cuckold simp lol , don't tell me she didn't have sex with sml and they didn't show it just emotionally it's a no no , if ml also have another woman yeah I will say it's even and they will start again but he still fitful to her even in time she's with sml lol and you telling me he's not a simp , till half the drama and she still didn't trust him or confess to him, and even after she said to sml even if he killed her husband she just will hate him for life!!? like so she will not take revenge and kill him too , I find that scene like a lover saying to her man if you killed my simp I will hate you because I like you to much to take revenge for my husband and kill you ( and we all know that she's more capable to kill, and she killed her husband not just anyone else lol )

so you see the difference and how she take revenge of ml in time she thinks he's the one who killed her but when she knows it's sml what she did to him !? nothing just hate him a little like he just joking with her lol , and she even risking her life to save him at the end lol
and long story short ml is a simp and fl is taking advantage of that fact

so know it's all sml lead fault nit her too because she letting him manipulating her and when someone says she's stupid a lot will say no she's not she's just nice lol , and she wants ml to understand that she's to weak so it's not her fault getting manipulated by sml lol , I don't get that she still has sml pictures and gifts and cards about their relationship and she starte dating another man, it's her time know to show ml that she loves him and fight for his live like he did

I get from the preview she still has all ex picture and gifts and how she love him and ml knows about it and she even hugs her ex lol so they didn't even get together for a day and they break up I'm sure they will break up because ml do everything he can do for her to be with him and it's her turn know to show him that she loves him not her ex
