Honestly, I despised almost everything about this drama. Any scene without the main character is unwatchable, and I can't even take the main character seriously because he's portrayed as highly intelligent and dangerous yet is none of that while in South Korea.

Yea I get that, but then again SBS aired joseon exorcist which was more brutal than almost every OCN drama I've seen.

Idk the first 4 episodes didn't have any of that. Specifically the second arc, where the revenge was to literally just freak out school kids.

Seemed like a massive overreaction to me, they're really sensitive over there.
The history wasn't distorted other than the fact that it's a drama about demons/zombies existing. I didn't see any problems that they'd have from that aspect. Nothing that a character did in the show was "evil".

I agree, I'm just saying that it is a slow burn. Some like them, some don't. I've seen 6 episodes of beyond evil so far and I do think the pacing was off for episode 6 especially. They stretched 10 minutes of content as far as they possibly could to make it an hour long episode.

But in context of the drama, it's clearly an overreaction. One of their main complaints was how the king was portrayed as "evil" and did things he didn't do in history. The thing is, in the drama he was literally losing his mind due to demon people killing everyone. So of course this didn't happen. They didn't try to say it did either. That's just one of many examples.
