Honestly, i really like Mengjie acting in Our Secret. I think school-campus-youth romance really suit her looks and personality instead of the adult life genre. I still don't really understand why she doesn't get more offers in drama. Kind of upset knowing that the upcoming 2 dramas from Mengjie are just her being the support role. Hope to see this year she's going to accept more offers being the female lead instead of the support role.
Honestly i don't really get it people complaining about the cgi effects in this drama when this drama was published in 2015 which is like 6-7 years before where we all know that china started to improve its cgi in 2017 which is two years after this drama. You cannot just compare the recent drama with the oldest one lmao like where is the logic? We all know that technology keeps increasing every year.
Anyways, it's not a bad drama. I actually enjoyed watching it even some of it does not even make sense like what can you expect from watching a fantasy/wuxia drama duh? The relationship in this drama literally defines forbidden love. The male lead is an honoured teacher and the female lead is a student.
Since this is one of my first cdramas, this drama managed to broke me into pieces like i couldn't watch another historic cdrama for about 2-3 months ?? Full of angst since the male lead is cold and a piece of sh*t lmao but i do understand it since he is a respectable teacher and the age gap between the student is like a dad and daughter. Not to forget i just love the relationship and chemistry between the female lead and sha qian mo (leader of the demon sect). So yeah this drama = PAIN.
I watched this drama when i was 15 and now i am 21 already. Planning to rewatch it but i don't think i can handle the pain.
fell in love with him in i will never let you go though. he is the second male lead. i really love his acting and character in there. i've been rooting for the male lead and female lead but then at the half last episode somehow i want him to be with the female lead lol.
If I had only ever watched the drama instead of the web novel, it would have been fine. The cast (except Chen Guo), graphics, and locations are great. It's not that I didn't like the actress because I looked her up, and she can look very pretty. Whoever in charge specifically made her hair and clothes look just plain awful. I feel bad for her because in the novel she's a beauty. For some insane reason, they made her look like a bag lady who didn't even know how to use something like conditioner or mascara. However, for anyone who has read the story, it just pales in comparison and actually takes away from the amazing work that the author created.
Ye Xui was made to look like an air head who couldn't even change a light bulb while Chen Guo was out smarting him. In other words, they completely flipped their roles/personalities. They unsuccessfully combined different characters into one. Most of the time is just spent wasted in the cafe instead of in the game which is 90% of the story. My biggest problem is that major parts of the story were just left out and instead they just made up random bs to replace them when the original would have still been better. The timeline is all over the place, and I don't feel like some things were explained well or at all unless you're a gamer or read the novel.
i'm thinking about dropping this drama since somehow there is no character development in this drama. honestly…
it's not like i don't like a drama without romance, but this one is just too plain. i can't even describe how plain it is. i have watch a lot of dramas where there is no romance in it and also enjoyed it though. but this drama not really my cup of tea. honestly, it's up to yourself either you will like this or not about this drama.
i'm thinking about dropping this drama since somehow there is no character development in this drama. honestly this is my 4th gaming genre drama though. i can say that this one is the lowest one for my own ranking among the four gaming dramas that i've watched. this story focus much on yang yang which is the male lead until i can't remember who are the supporting characters though. i heard there is no romance in this drama as well. this might be one of the factor why i feel like dropping this drama. i'm hoping there will be at least a little bit of romance instead of plain storyline. go and watch go go squid. that is my favorite gaming drama besides love O2O. another one, gank your heart is pretty good to me.
i also don't know why this drama got such a high ranking. maybe because of the popular male lead itself. this drama is not that good actually. i skipped a lot of part lmao since it is too boring. i prefer the web novel over this.
i definitely love this drama a lot. honestly this is one of the best c-drama in 2019. the romance might be a bit slow but i can guarantee that you will love it since it's full of cute moments that will make you smile watching it. the chemistry between the main characters are so good so does with the supporting characters. i love all of the characters in this story. give it a try. overall my rating is 9/10.
- my lovely sam soon (7/10) - history of the salary man (8.5/10) - the king of dramas (7.5/10) *boring at first but it's enjoyable* - medical top team (7/10) *slow plot but it's okay* - bubblegum (6/10) *it's getting draggy and not really exciting* - witch's court (9/10) *my personal fav* - wok of love (8.5/10)
