In the book the PhuKao kiss didn’t happen up until the second book of Nitrogen and we’re not exactly sure how far in the book will be included in the series.

The Restart novel which this is based on actually isn't completely finished, there is apparently a part 2 that the writer has yet to write so this isn't the end of Wu Xie and his adventures yet :)

The book can be read in wattpad, just search "Until We Meet Again English Translation." The series is actually pretty spot on and is thoroughly following the novel.

Yeah I get your logical reasoning and all but you have to understand that this is his show and he has made this series with the writer of the novel as well and has gotten her approval for this. I’d be mad if I know that the character is supposed to be played by a dark skinned thai girl but they changed it to a light skinned thai girl instead. New has kept most of the actors and even singers for this show so it honestly isn’t surprising if we see Sammy again especially if he sees that she’s fitting for the character. His responsibility isn’t to make a show that reflects the population, his responsibility is to make justice to the novel and he’ll take in actors who he and the writer thinks suits it. And again I don’t understand why you’re directing your hate towards New? If you’re so adamant about it then you do something about it instead of writing comments here and seemingly making New the bad guy just because he hasn’t put in a dark skinned thai girl in his series. I know you want to expose racism, and change it and all but there honestly isn’t any here, I’m just trying to make you understand that. Direct your complaints to where it fits it.

I don't see why it's a problem that Sammy is playing the character she is now when she's literally so similar to the character in the novel. And why is the hate getting directed at New just because you want a dark skin thai girl?

Hi, sorry for the late reply. Unfortunately I don't know if Chong Qi is translated into English. All I know is that it is known as Chong Qi which means Reboot in English.

Ahh, I’ve sent IQIYI a feedback regarding it. It would be good if other can do that as well so they’ll add subs to it.

Is it actually BL? Were there any bromance scenes. I might actually sub this if ever.

I saw the trailer of this and it looked interesting, just sad that there isn’t any website you can watch this on with eng subtitles. Hopefully a translator will sub this so we can all watch it :(

Actually the 1st season was based on the 1st novel alone while the 2nd season, book 2 up to about the beginning of book 4 was covered. I’m also really here for the genre, it’s actually quite funny that the drama had a lot of bromance since in the novel there really isn’t as much not up until the last books which is 7-9 but I mean the Qiling/Wu Xie couple is basically canon (i think) and in this season we’ll most probably have more bromance and Qiling saving Wu Xie scenes again.

Oh my, haha the author makes a lot and most are even still ongoing, The Lost Tomb universe is very big. I’m not really sure as to why we get the Reboot rather than the continuation of the story from the 2nd season. But maybe (hopefully) they’ll add in an explanation or flashback or even snippets of the other novels in this season so it won’t be too confusing. But I heard this will stay true to the novel so I’m not really sure anymore haha.

The screenwriter is actually the author so I’m expecting this will be good.

There is actually a separate novel called “10 years later” where Wu Xie goes to pick up Zhang Qiling although I don’t know if they’ll somehow include that in this season since this is based on another separate novel, “Chong Qi (Reboot)” where they are already all together and I have yet to read it so I don’t know how this will be.

The producers for the 1st season is different from the 2nd and this season so the actors from season 1 and season 2 changed. The 3rd season takes place after 10 years so Wu Xie is older now so it’s normal that they’ll get an actor who will play the older version of him.

It takes a long time for these shows to actually get past the approval for it to be aired so sometimes even if production only took a few months, the approval period can be longer than that and that might be too long for actors to commit so that’s why you’ll mostly see actors getting changed in shows.

For everyone who is kinda confused, this takes place 10 years after the 9 novels so Wu Xie is older now. This is actually based on the novel, Chong Qi (Reboot) that has 4 volumes now and is still ongoing.
