I enjoyed the 1rst part more than the Tiemo arc for sure. Though as a whole, the drama was good.It was nice to see a drama with good actors and great performance from everyone. This has been lacking so much in period dramas lately I enjoy this drama because I love male centric revenge and am fed up with the fl revenge stories. I did not watch this because of CY but more because of Liu Yi Jun, Wang Jing Song and Zhou Qi. CY was good as well.The story could have been better but It was not bad , so I will not complain. Seeing beloved actors was a treat as well as meeting new actors. I really enjoyed the fighting scenes.

I still do not know why YFS betrayed his emperor and mentor., How slave boys became prominent figures in Chang An to be around the founding emperor. I guess those are not important.

In time of period drama, this was the best for me this year after TTL.
May I say YFS was so handsome. What a hot old man.

We see An several times talking to his dead father. He sometimes get words of comfort or even information. How do you interpret these scenes. Sometimes I think he, An is just measuring himself but last episode (aired)he got information. Was he remembering something he dad said in the past regarding the red flag?
