I didn't get to finish Flowers for Algernon yet due to no subs so I'm only halfway and I don't think Yamapi is doing such a bad job, but I will say he is on top form for 5ji kara 9, one of his better roles and manages to make up for a sub par female lead who is annoying and along with a great supporting cast makes her almost endearing which is why I think she's done so well

Yes it is simular to RMPW and that was one of the reason I didn't like that drama as much as I could have. I think it's also quite simular to her role in Dear Sister and even most of the guest or supporting roles I've seen her in. Not sure if it's her or the characters I don't like. Might not be her fault for being typecast but it sure is annoying in an otherwise great drama and great cast.

I agree wtih you on Satomi Ishihara, shes ok but I'm not really a fan of her, I think many other actresses could have done just as well if not better in that role. The success of the drama is due to Yamapi and the supporting cast. I think she's getting too much credit.

It's a shame I wanted to watch it this year, I'll just have to add it to my waiting for subs folder. It seems like a cool drama and has quite a high rating

I am loving this, wish the episodes were longer, I always feel sad when it finishes.

I felt exactly the same about boys over flowers yet especially the 2nd season i foolishly finished so i could watch Oguri Shun, DID NOT watch the movie, such a shitty lead character made the whole thing feel wrong

I found this very disappointing, it was 75% recap of the series and ended with no clear resolution. A shame as I had quite enjoyed the series

was really disappointed with this, no real plot, boring dialogue...just nothing despite some great actors, shockingly boring and uneventful
