I feel like if I started this show for the romance even if it was minimal (I longed for smthg mature like story of minglan..but i discovered quickly it's more like joy of life than story of minglan🤣.. I think I needed the chemistry and story between the leads because watching it for the schemes only is wayyyy too heavy for me🤣 but mostly mostly this show introduced a type of interaction between the leads that I haven't seen before and I can swear they weren't acting ..(I loved discovering this) other shows even if I enjoyed them I can see how their dialogue can be a script lol

exactlyy or like maybe he went traveling for the antidote after idk..tho he's barely alive lol but like this is drama world🤣if they wanted they can make a s2 and show him alive again
wait for me it felt like an open ending.. usually when characters die they show the one reminiscing them as hallucinating and imagining a good life with them smtms lol(like in a journey to love ) it has potential for s2 but I don't think they will🤣
I just want to say on my fifth rewatch that one of the reasons I love this drama is bcz FL is exactly how I pictured her to be in this wuxia context ..in other historical cdramas dramas some FL are a little too righteous and pretentious for my taste
