Wait—let me know if i'm wrong but i feel like...this drama is SOO similar to one of the best taiwanese drama "One day Someday"... the time travel elements especially~~ — HIGHLY RECOMMEND for those that enjoyed this drama and want more, arguable better than Lovely Runners but that's just my opinion <3
Unpopular opinion: honestly this drama doesn't strike a chord, it would've been like any other melodrama if it wasn't for the cast, esp Kim Ji Won and Kim Soo Hyun as mains. Take 'Come and Hug Me' for example, it's also a very compelling melodrama but the story somewhat dragged and the cast, though mains were good for the most part but didn't grab. Idk haha, i've been watching KSH since dream high and KJW since heirs, so maybe my critique is harsher cuz I've seen their work.
OMG I'm FINALLY DONE—I thought i'd finish this a lot sooner but...eh :/ (continued below)
it dragged so much that I had to pause a couple times from the extreme melo side of melodrama, ofc the acting is superb and i'm soo glad kim ji won took the role, kim soo hyun and her pair really well. But i have to say, this drama really wouldn't have been as successful as it is now if it wasn't for these two. It really just honestly just like any other melodrama only with a few turns etc. I really thought that if they wrote the characters to be smart, they would be smart. There were too many hit by trucks, cars, kidnapping for my liking as it kept stopping the story progress, a lot of curved roads but idk, it just became frustrating at one point. Hands down to the mother and son villain duo, they really gripped the scenes so well that while I wanted to skip I couldn't because we could never know what they're up to next. All in all, while it was an interesting and unique premise of a love story, it kind of became a little to cliche and ended up feeling like a bore. Love the actors, hands down to the children and villains, but I don't know, creativity wasn't on par with storyline. That's all for me, up to see different viewpoints!
I'm a dieheart Kim Ji Won fan, ever since Heirs and so on, but I have to say...Lee Joo Bin is soo prettyyyyyyy—like every time she smiles i'm like googly eyes awwwww <3
I liked the ZLY-LGX chemistry here than in LOSL. Their yearning and love here is believable. They were like BFFs…
Honestly I agree their kissing wasn't on par in LOSL, but I think their characters were really well fleshed out in LOSL compared to this, chemistry was a lot stronger too because they used to work together.
story really starts like ep 19 onwards, slow beginning but does pick up a bit
it's worth it! esp for the cast, man i love this cast so much, can't pick between princess agents or this one, even if the storyline sometimes drags but the cast REALLY carries
