A drama without any angst or emotional moments can feel more like filler if it’s just there to kill time. Slice of life still has a point, even if it’s just showing everyday stuff or small character growth. But if a scene or story isn’t adding anything to the characters or plot and just feels like it’s dragging things out, that’s when it’s more filler than anything.
