I mostly drop dramas I dislike too, but sometimes there are special cases, when the show is just so ridiculously…
now that i think of i guess i kind of hate-watched lovestruck in the city... i didnt hate the entire show but some part and characteristics got on my nerves... but i still watched it till the end simply because it was on netflix and i like jcw...
i guess a lot of people think yisan loved deokim more than she loved him but i personally don't see it that way... he surely does express himself more than her and is more desperate to have her all to himself than she is but when it comes to love i feel they both loved each other equally... if deokim choose her little freedom over yisan multiple times then yisan would have also chosen his duty as a king over deokim as well... yisan never had to lose anything to have deokim, unlike deokim who had to lose whatever little she has of herself to be with yisan... his life wont change if she comes into his life but her entire existence will change with him in her life...
i guess its not that he loved her more than she did, he expressed himself more than she did... if she chose her little freedom over him multiple times then if he had to he would have also chosen his duty as a king over her anytime. the only difference is he is in a position where he can have her all by himself but she is not in a position where she can have him all by herself. he never had to give up anything to be with her but she had to give up whatever little she had to be with him and she did it willingly at the end.
i guess i tend to simply drop a drama if it gets too much on my nerves rather than watch it till the end and hate on it. if i remember correctly i haven't hate-watched any kdrama... i hated dramas like boys over flowers but i dropped it when it became unbearable to me... i guess the only drama i watched till the end even though i didn't like it is heirs but i skipped all the scenes with the leads and only watched it for the secondary characters whom i liked, so i don't know if i hate-watched that drama since i skipped the parts i hated about the drama... so i am not sure if i ever hate-watched a drama... nice article and an interesting topic...
