the take literally talks as if they know the characters better than the writers of friends... like their take on pheobe... there was literally nothing wrong with her ending up with mike but they found problem in that too... rachel is in her 30s and if she chose the guy she loves over her job its totally her choice... isnt it about respecting the choice of an individual at the end of the day rather than what we think is better for her... ross makes her more happy than the job in paris and there is nothing wrong with it... its like in gong... being with the FL was more important for the ML than being the next king... also why does everyone forget the fact that there is a child involved b/w ross and rachel... its later said in the series joey that ross and rachel are married with another child... so she chose to have a family with ross and choosing to have a family over a career is in not a lower option... its about priorities...

i have already seen this and the take is a channel that cannot take a joke as a joke... they have a freaking problem with mike... nowadays its like a trend to hate on friends or find problem in friends... thats a sitcom made in 1994 and ended in 2004... it was amazing for that time period and it dont need to be seen through the lens of people who feel offended by the slightest thing possible... ross and rachel are iconic because jennifer anniston and david schwimmer had amazing chemistry which made majority of the viewers root for them... almost all the classic movies/dramas will have something or the other that wont go well with the current scenario but that doesnt mean its no more a classic...

i dont know if you have seen gong ( the princess hours)... in it the ML leaves his position as the crowned prince to be with the FL and that drama is like 10 yrs old... in strong woman do bong soon, the ML stays at home to look after the kids when the FL is going around being a superhero... in a lot of kdramas the FL leave the ML to pursue her career like in oh my ghost, coffee prince, she will never know etc... infact in she will never know the FL chose her career over the relationship and she got hate from the audience for that...

career growth is seen differently by different individuals... for some its being happy and content and for some its moving up... if hyejin was someone who only cared about going forward in her career and making more money then she would have stayed in seoul giving a blind eye to whatever her senior was doing... but she cares for the patience and respects her profession and wants to treat patients the way she wants without anyone else interfering... being a professor in a college is not the only way she can move forward in her career... she can study further... if she wants she can go outside the country and work as well... private clinics can be a better career option if it becomes successful and she decides to open different branches in other nearby small villages... she can be a business woman and a dentist at the same time...

how is there a sacrifice in career when the opportunity is equally good? how is having a clinic in a countryside any less than being a professor in a big city? esp when that countryside dont have any clinic at all... she is making money, living at a place she likes with people that cares for her and genuinely loves her... she is literally loosing nothing here... also dushik is not a guy who will stop her if she wants to try out different profession... so if she chooses to stay then the decision will be entirely hers and it will be her choice which should be respected...
God i HATE this trope of making female characters "choose" between their career and love. Why can't they do both?…

It honestly isn't a 10/10, not even close, frankly but it is still a very good drama.
Compare dramas with the same genre... Squid game comes under the same genre as sweet home and Alice in borderland.. since I haven't seen squid game I don't know how good it is compared to the latter two so I won't comment on that... Hometown cha cha cha should be compared to other romcom kdramas and compared to those it deserves to be 8.9... it is in the same league as cloy...

i dont remember startup being no.1... infact any biweekly kdrama being no.1 in india... squid game is the first korean drama to be no.1 in india... before that only western dramas and indian movies/series topped netflix india... most of the times biweekly kdramas are below 5 in top 10... now 2 korean dramas are in top 5...
Have you seen korean movies? They are more violent than hwood movies and some movies even had explicit sex scenes…
squid game writer didnt get any platform to make that drama till netflix stepped in and produced if... if anything netflix is making kdramas more open and worldwide... most of the netflix original kdrama content are amazing and dont have much sex scenes... even the korean movies on netflix are not that explicit... asian culture is not that fragile that a streaming platform can malign it...
