A group of us are fansubbing it at the moment. Ep 13 is now available here: https://productiveprocrastination.site/category/destiny-of-the-white-snake/
I am honestly having a doubt if I should watch this or not since the Taiwanese version has left a huge impression to me. It's probably a drama that I'll watch if I want a sudden change for my usual taste for dramas and of course just for my Shen Yue too
I know all of us are waiting for this to be subbed so while waiting for a kind soul to do so, you can also request in this form of viki (http://vikiinc.wufoo.com/forms/title-request-form/) so they can license it :) It only takes less than 10 seconds to do so just request The Destiny of White Snake and fill up a few options
Honestly just watched because I was tired on the awkward skinships in dramas so I didn't have much hope for it (besides the fact we'll be finally getting those intimate scenes) I dont regret watching this!! At all!! Don't doubt just watch!
I started watching this when all the subs are deleted from ep 14 onwards T.T Does anyone know where I can find it? At least episode 14 (I've been waiting for that scene to happen)
This is something you wouldn't appreciate if you haven't watched the drama first so if youre thinking of trying…
For those who watched the drama you'll be way too disappointed especially to the arc when Mo Yuan was supposed to wake up. The movie made it so that Mo Yuan and Ye Hua are one person so when Ye Hua died at the end he really just died. Crown Prince Ye Hua didnt wake up anymore, it's Mo Yuan who woke up and supposedly continued his relationship with Bai Qian.
Also you'll miss the little b**ch Xuan Nu in the movie because the one who acted the role of the demon queen is not annoying. That's another plot they changed.
Basically the plots they changed are • Su Jin • Demon Queen and King (there's no Li Jing in the movie) • Mo Yuan and Ye Hua
Not all the characters are here too. You only get to see Bai Qian, A Li, Yehua/Mo yuan, Zhe yan, Sujin, demon queen, demon lord, nai nai (susu's maid, and migu
This is something you wouldn't appreciate if you haven't watched the drama first so if youre thinking of trying this first to get a gist of what the drama wil be, don't. At the same time even if you've watched the drama already, you also wouldn't appreciate it much with the way they changed some of the major plots.
I gave it a try because ive been missing tmopb and after i did, i now understand the reason why the ratings are low. Yang Yang wasn't as bad as many people claimed here. I kinda like his acting here better than in Love o2o.
The cg comes out as too cartoony making it look a bit awkward in some scenes. The only satisfying thing was the kiss lol. I've been wishing to see that in the drama version but we didn't get a satisfying kiss ><

I think they were able to fit the important moments in the movie so i understand why it would feel rushed for others. Having read the manga and watched the anime I would say I'm pretty satisfied about the outcome of the movie. I was honestly doubting it at first but yeah it was a pretty good remake (comparing to the bad remakes i've watched before) I was glad that they didnt let Megu be as annoying like she was in the manga and I like how its really about the growth if Mei and Yamato's relationship.
I just wished Kai and Mei's friendship was given more attention but yeah again I understand that they really couldnt do that in one movie. Sukitte Ii Na Yo probably needed to be a series live action instead so that it could be as great as the manga or the anime.
I also hoped the way Haruna acted Mei would be a bit different. Mei is an aloof and a character who seemingly have a low self-esteem. Though despite that, you can see that she has a quite strong personality too. I feel like Haruna's acting of Mei was too timid from the start.
For those who has read or watched the manga and anime version do give this a try. It's not really as bad but do keep in mind that theyll be trying ti fit in a lot of chapter or episodes in just one movie.
It was simply an okay drama for me, nothing really left an impression to me. The pacing felt rushed but the same time draggy that I totally didn't realize it only has 28 episodes. Though one thing I like about this drama is how they included technologies in the plot. I appreciate that it wasn't completely a whole magic stuff occasion. I gave it a try because someone said I'll like it if I liked Eternal Love but that was a reach! At most I give this drama a 6/10 since there are few moments that got a reaction from me

It's one of my favorites and easily one of the best dramas released last year.
