He was the one who went after her, at the point when she had neither food, clothes nor roof over her head. He gave her hope when she was at the lowest point of a life. I am glad Miao Jing came back feisty, spunky (....and certainly stunning). A weaker character will not be able to enter Chen Yi's world and hold through. She will have to pull him out of his toxic world. I love how they have developed her character.
