There are times when I'm watching this drama that something strikes me as not making any sense, but I don't know…
I agree. I love it, but there are these little details that just seem really poorly thought out. Sometimes I wonder if it's just me because I can't believe they'd be that careless. It's still my favourite airing drama though. Those little details aside I think the plot is getting better and better.
I was confused at the scene of Tae Sul watching little Kang Seo Hae's video. How can? ok he's good at hacking…
There are times when I'm watching this drama that something strikes me as not making any sense, but I don't know if I've missed something, or if there'll be an explanation, or if it's just a really dumb continuity error. Were any of the characters even filming the birthday party?
I have a theory on how we could get a happy ending without breaking the time loop or contradicting anything we've been shown (I think). Maybe the skeletons SH discovers at the end of episode 8 are actually her and TS from the distant future. Maybe SH saves TS, and then when they eventually die (hopefully of old age) their bodies are sent back in time to her past self along with the diary. SH wrote that TS will stop the war if she saves him. Maybe he stops the war after the events from the future that we've already been shown. That assumes the war is still ongoing in the future scenes. I only half pay attention to the future scenes, so I'm not sure if it's been made clear. We've already had a couple of hints that SH will win (her confidence + the sniper guy whose name I've forgotten), but we've also had stronger hints that TS will die (everyone from the future insists he's dead). Perhaps everyone just thinks that he's dead, but he's actually alive. If my theory is correct then the plot will catch up and overtake the future scenes.
I saw some people saying that it's leaning towards romance but i don't see a tag. Also, if this is supposed to…
There's definitely some romance, but it remains to be seen how much of a focus it will be. At the moment it's just hinting that they like each other. My instinct is that it's becoming the main focus. I also like the age gap romances (specifically older male younger female), although the comments are making a much bigger deal of the age gap than is actually felt in the drama.
Maybe its just me, while PSH is pretty. She's not some goddess or omg levels of beauty imo. I think her and CSW…
I agree about PSH. She has some pretty features (I think she has nice eyes and a nice smile), but she's not one of the more beautiful actresses. I don't love her acting, but I find her likeable which is good enough for me. Maybe I just have a soft spot for her ever since Pinocchio.
When I first saw the theory regarding JW as the real villain/head of Babel I didn't like the idea, but now that I've seen it play out I'm loving it. The actor's really pulling it off.
That's interesting. I was thinking in the last couple of episodes that it really needed to make better use of…
I'm thinking specifically of the scene near the end in which SH reunites with TS after taking out those people who were after him. The scene felt empty and anticlimactic. It started without any music, and then the music that came in didn't complement the scene at all. I've never noticed this with other K-dramas. I just quickly re-watched it, and I can't tell if the music was BGM or OST. It sounds more like the OST. Either way it was wrong, but I do think the scene needed music. When that scene started without music it felt like I was watching a deleted scene that hadn't finished going through the editing process.
There's also no music playing when TS puts the earpiece in SH's ear, and the effect was kind of awkward in my opinion. It needed some tentative romantic background music.
A few people have commented on the age gap between PSH and CSW, but I don't really see what the big deal is. I don't know the ages of their characters, but if we just focus on the age gap between the actors it's not that big considering they're both well into adulthood. I actually like ships with older actors and younger actresses. It might be because I'm young and female myself (mid 20s), and I prefer the older male actors to the younger ones. So I guess it's no mystery why I support ships like this one.
I wonder if some people's aversion is less to do with the actor's age and more to do with the fact that he looks his age. I'm not being accusatory. We've all got our personal preferences, and some people prefer pretty boys. I don't mind pretty boys per say, but I find most K-drama actors too pretty. CSW is handsome, but he's also mature and masculine. Not to mention he's one of Korea's best actors, so I feel spoilt to get to see him in a drama like this one as well as in dramas like Stranger.
This might not be important but there were news that the music director will be changed from ep9 onwards (the…
That's interesting. I was thinking in the last couple of episodes that it really needed to make better use of the BGM. I often think that the scenes feel incomplete and a bit slapdash, and I think it's because they're lacking background music. The impact of the music is often overlooked, but it can really affect the overall experience. I hope the change in music director will make the drama feel a little smoother.
