The point I’m making is with everything he did he won’t be let off not in western world with European law. You said he will be able to get off because the reaction was in heat of the moment. Your argument is incorrect. the court will not excuse his behaviour. Most western countries will not let it slide. First of all, the action he did was it reasonable? will any reasonable saint person act the way he did? No. there also comes a factor of threatening behaviour. The moment he said "don't come in front of my face ever again or else I will kill you" thats an intention it self. The court will also try to figure out the time of event from the moment he said that to the moment he came to the house to beat her again. In eyes of court, he has significant time to think and plan TO abuse her or kill her.
The only time he MAY be able to get away this mess would be either by insanity aka in eyes of law making mr park INSANE or self defence. Self defence in his case is out of the window. Insanity maybe yes if there is significant medical evidence and lawfully agree to live his life as an INSANE person for rest of his life in eyes of law.
